  • Honestly Katyjane, sometimes that's just the way a day can be! A friend who was over yesterday, while we were talking about this journey of mine, told me to "give myself permission to not be perfect". I strive to do my best...but some days you have to make the best choice of what options are before you. I can see that you…
  • How awesome to have such supportive parents in your life! Great job on your pant size changing...such encouragement :)
  • Woops! I posted in the week one spot I believe... This week I have a lot going on. Company today, gone driving all day Friday, and the hours between I have a massive garden to plant. Lots if exercise and sunshine 🤗 my weight is off to a stubborn start which I know to be typical. Just have to push through even when it seems…
  • Good morning! I had a great day yesterday! I spent over two hours mowing our rural property with a heavy clunker lawnmower. Majoy calorie burn woo hoo! ( I wear a Fitbit and it thought I was riding a bike lol) My husband bbq'd us a beautiful steak to finish the busy day....mmmmmm!! Have a great day my virtual friends!
  • I had a great day! I had company in, and we we're at my in-laws for supper (they are absolutely respectful and aware of my eating restrictions and sooo helpful!!) It was a successful day 🤗 I did half hour on my treadmill before my company came this morning. I had wanted to do more but the day has been otherwise busy!
  • Thank you Katmary71! I feel rather stuck lately. I am eating well, my carbs coming from vegetables, and it's taking so long to get back down. (blood sugar) It is very encouraging to see that you over-ate but still lost weight! That will slowly help bring A1c down. I haven't been checked in a while either....I keep thinking…
  • Yes this is so true for me also!!! Even one bite of something I shouldn't have can bring it on (such as creamy mashed potatoes 🙄).
  • This is my first day here at the challenge. I've had a great week, my goals are weight loss, which in turns lowers my blood sugar levels (a key reason for all of this), and toning. I am working out daily as well as tracking and calculating every bite that goes into my mouth!
  • Hello, I'm Aimee :) Im a 45 year old mom of six, married almost 20 years to a very amazing & supportive husband! I have about 40 pounds to lose. I am a diabetic, my food and exercise are so important. I do not take medication so have no room for error! My sugar levels have been up lately due to negligence...no excuses. I'm…
  • Heya! Add me if you like! I'm a mom of six. Diabetic, but not on medication. I've lost 40 pounds with 40 to go. You can really help yourself in the pre diabetic stage with diet and exercise. You can do it!!

  • Oh- and I'm also a stay at home mom of six children!
  • Good morning! I eat around the same daily calories. I am a diabetic, and everything I eat is thought out and planned to be a balanced daily menu. I don't take medication, so depend on purposeful eating and exercises! Please add me as a friend if you wish! I'm looking to lose 30-40 pounds 🙂
  • Hello! I'm a stay at home mom of six, two little ones still at home (ages 4&9). I have lost over fifty pounds and have over 40 more to go. Would love to be added as a friend! I'm a diabetic, I do not take medication so I have to exercise to keep my sugar levels down. I eat very low carb, no sugar whatsoever and lots of…
  • I found it so encouraging each time I got into a new number range...the 180's, 170's...and so on. Numbers I had not seen in a very long time!! You can do it my friend! The results are worth the incredible amount of discipline and work you put into it. So much more good then the weight loss itself!
  • I am in the same boat! You are more then welcome to add me as a friend...I have no idea how to do it haha :) I was diagnosed with diabetes 5 years ago. I decided on the non medication route- with a super supportive husband and family- to start and see how I could do. Nothing went into my mouth without being tracked. I lost…
  • ...also, I always bring my own food so I have no excuse to eat otherwise. It's been calculated and pre planned, and I bring more along to share with others. People are so very respectful!
  • This might sound silly....but on your weekends of limited to no alcohol, when you are with friends, get yourself a super pretty glass and make your non alcoholic/sugar free beverages look lovely! We go pool parties every other weekend, do not drink alcohol, but have awesome cups and fill with ice, limes, lemons and…
  • Very, very well said. Battle won!!
  • Sorry, the beginning of my previous message I was quoting c4muzic but I did it wrong!
  • It’s so hard to diet when everyone around you is eating the good stuff. Makes it that much harder to stay on a program. Honestly, I had to relearn what the "good stuff" really is!! Now, after five years, I see a beautiful bowl of fruit salad and I feel like a queen! You really are not missing out when you eat properly...…
  • I eat a very low carb keto! I'm a diabetic, but control it with diet and exercise. No medication. The primary carbs I eat are fruits (extremely limited), vegetables, and nuts. I have dairy goats and make our cheese and yogurt, but only in small amounts. I have lost over 40 pounds and want to lose about 40 more. I am…
  • I also would like to join..no idea how. This part of MFP is new to me!
  • Good day! I am new here...hope I am adding my information correctly. I am a 45 yr old female, 5'2 and currently 173 pounds, first big goal being 140 pounds. I have already lost about 40 pounds. I am a diabetic, managing with diet and exercise and NO medication whatsoever. I have to be sooo careful with all I eat and do.…
  • Good morning! If I am posting a message here, does it mean I have joined? Haha...I just joined MFP and am quite uncertain! I am 45 yr old female and have already lost over 40 pounds. I have at least 40 or so to go. I am a diabetic, but do not take medication. I have to eat very strictly on my diet, and exercise exercise…
