congratulations on choosing a kinder diet! i have been vegan for a while now and i have been able to come off my anxiety and depression medication. i highly recommend pinterest for recipe ideas, i get 99% of my meal plans from there.

I'm not Canadian either, but I second dried fruits as good, unfussy snacks. I love making up little mixes, like banana chips and cranberries with walnuts and seeds in small tub. It's handy to keep in your bag when you need a nibble :)
