if you want dvds that still burn but are more managable than insanity, try some of jillian michaels dvds. i love them. there are some that are 20 min and others that are 40-45. they incorporate strength training and cardio so you feel it after the fact. but everyone else is right, you have to do both cardio and strength…

you can add me too. the more support the better

its fine. you just dont really wanna eat right before you go to bed because your confusing your body. it wants to be in sleep mode but also digestive mode at the same time. you just want to leave a good hour before you eat and then sleep. but if thats eating dinner at 8:30 and sleeping at 10 thats perfectly fine

congrats!!!! your work has totally paid off

i dont think you should focus on the scale number but instead your body's fitness. if your worrying about the jiggle, i completely understand. I dont like mine either, but instead of trying to just lose 5lbs it would probably be better if you focused more on toning. Put more strength training into your workout regime, to…

not only do you make your workouts harder but also change what you were doing. if you can jog a bit then that is good. plus make sure you are doing weight lifting. muscles burn energy and calories even when you are just sitting there so the more the better. keep up the water though thats really good. also, dont go under…

what i did was just do intervals. it will be hard since running demands a lot from the body, but if you do short intervals you can survive. and over time u lengthen the run interval and shorten the walk interval. i started with 5minute sets, so i would run 1 min, walk 4. repeat. usually for 30min on the tredmil. then a…

I used to always answer with the elliptical, however, i have now started to have a passion for running. My endurance is still horrible and needs work, and one of my ankle tendons (peritoneus longus) has been a real pain lately, but with elevation, ice and a compression bandage it will survive. Running does seem to be the…

I wake up. stretch. get the coffee going and shower. If i have the time though i prefer to workout in the mornings, even if just a 20 minute dvd. really wakes you up and gets your brain running for the rest of the day. it doesnt have to be intense cardio, just jumping jacks and lunges and such that get you moving and get…

evenings are the worse. I just try to remind myself of what I have already accomplished during the day. Especially if i worked out, because you dont wanna cancel out all of the good work you did earlier. I try to keep my hands busy, do the dishes, clean, get a small hobby, read. If you keeps yours hands busy you wont have…

I just went through that similar feeling. What I finds help is truly using this site. Look around and find nice, friendly people you can add as friends. (You can add me if you like) and they will comment on all of ur statuses and workout updates with motivating tips and congratulations. I find that really helps. Also, I…

Awesome! I am so proud of you, we all are. I am struggling to find motivation as strong as yours but the fact that you have found it is a sign that I can as well.

Dont freak yourself out! Its ok, we all start out where ever we start and thats nothing to be ashamed of. If you keep at it you will be able to finish the whole workout and then you will be able to add more and more. Its all about being patient and diligent. I just started running myself and 3 months ago running for 2…

a healthy lifestye really must include both of them, but I know for me it is much easier to stick to an exercise regimine than a diet plan, etc. I have found, however, that if i plan my days and keep busy, I will accomplish both of them. Its when I simply sit around watching tv or something of the like that I eat what I…

I prefer the kind that go in the ear. I try to get the ones with the foam insert part, the foam in the ear seems to hold it in place much better. I cannot stand the apple headphones, they refuse to ever stay in my ear as well.

I am proud that this time, while some days are harder than others, i am actually staying on my plan. Most "diets" i have done last no longer than two weeks and generally only one. Im not perfect, and I have had bad days, but I have been much more consistant with the use of this stie, and the scale is starting to show it.…

Welcome. MFP is an amazing resource. I love it. I could never survive before calculating it all by hand, etc, but with this site its so much easier to keep everything together and make sure I am track. I am sure you will love this site as well. Any questions, concerns, etc, feel free to add :)

I have an addiction to cheese hahah. Cheese is good for you in moderation but prior I ate wayyyyyy to much of it, so I am not cutting it out completely but limiting it extremely. It has been tough so far though.

Be aware that a lot of the difference in weight you noticed was due simply to the fact that you weighed in at a different time of the day. Trust me that it changes a lot throughout the day. But I doubt you gained 5 lbs in one day alone, so I would just be really the next day or two and then weigh again and it should be…

I completely understand! Im finishing undergrad right now and then its off to grad for me as well. School has really been the reason I have put on all the weight, all the stress and late nights. Im all up for motivating each other if you want to add me, we all know its easier to put on the weight then to take it off. My…

good job! I recently decided to do the same. School stresses and late nights really had me put on the pounds, but I dont want to live like this forever so its time to change.
