26, started around 210 and now hover around 170. goal weight is 150. Got a new gym membership and want to start lifting. It's intimidating alone at the gym to start using the weights though!

this is an amazing story. I have a similar one. I did not lose 100lbs, more like 30 but I have put it all back on and am trying again to lose it. I will take your advice

i have the same reaction with hunger that you do, but i just cannot give up coffee, no matter the side effects hahaha. by the time it wears off though i usually have a small snack, and then its only an hour until lunch so i manage :)

i would try to switch up your workouts. you can lower the calories again if you want but a friend had the same problem, and changed her long daily workouts into two short but intense ones each day, and her plateau ended.

you can add me if you want. everyone here understands where you are comming from, but i think setting small goals like that is perfect. I do the same thing except i set it for the next 10lbs bracket, like 180-170, etc. thinking how far you have to reach your end goal can be too much to handle sometimes

lack of sleep will totally have an effect on both of your problems, the weight and soreness. your body uses the sleep time to rest, recoup and heal. without enough sleep your body will simply not function properly. sorry no one answered you earlier :(

thats awesome congratulations! when i could finally pull on my old jeans it was so much more exciting than seeing the scale numbers drop. it meant so much more and now you can see that as well. congrats

you dont have to completely take the day "off" if it really bothers you, you just need to take it easy. instead of running you can go for a nice long walk or a relaxing bike ride. this way you are still being active, but your muscles are not be strained :)

i just did the fit test yesterday and my results were pretty sad as well hahaha. i workout with running, elliptical, spin class and other classes 5-6 days a week and i thought i would do better as well. but my low scores only made me excited to start the program, because it is obviously going to ask for a lot and therefore…
