I don't, but I have seen other longer threads on the subject recently. Could search keyword sleep on MFP and it might pull up the other threads.

That sounds disgusting!!! LOL

I hope so!!! Like I said, I see so many, including friends list diaries, eating around 1020 calories a day. Then I'll see same friends here in general forums talking about their workouts and that they don't log them or eat back the calories... I literally want to scream "NOOOO don't do it!! Not worth it." All that work,…

In my house, we eat meat and veggies cooked in olive oil, seasoned and seared or baked. I make enough meat for lunch (breakfast) the next day. Like make up steak seared with peppers, onions, and mushrooms, add cheese, for a breadless Philly cheesesteak. Can serve in lettuce/cabbage wraps or bowls. Next day, left over steak…

The first few weeks of keto, we had to stay near a bathroom. (Fiance, daughter, and myself). After we adjusted, things went to better than normal.

The reason I put my size and weight is to show, dropping too low of calories and exercising is dangerous even if you're not sickly thin. People have a preconceived notion that someone who dies from an anorexic calorie intake are so thin they are skeletal. I thought this before it happened to me. You could weigh 175 lbs at…

@try2again I had been thin my entire life without effort, had been athletic: tennis, volleyball, and swim team. I had been active duty Air Force. I gained a little weight with a pregnancy (miscarried). Maybe six months, a little less. Had lost 10-15 lbs. Sorry, this was over 20 years ago and an extremely stressful time of…

I'm not diabetic, but I eat keto, and like others here, I keep my net carbs under 25 grams (total carbs usually around 50)... It's the only macro I watch. I eat meats and veggies cooked in olive oil, sometimes topped with dairy (cheese or sour cream). I snack on fruits, cheeses, and proteins. I have quit trying to force…

@rheddmobile I was losing weight. I had gained weight with a pregnancy, was up somewhere between 145-150ish when I started trying to lose after miscarriage. Now, I am happy, feel fit, and love the way I look around 165 lbs. (Now, I go by the US military weight charts). I put my story out, mainly because I see so many…

In the past, I've always started an exercise routine with cardio. I start at 25-30 minutes 3 days a week and build up from there. As my body would adjust, I would increase length, intensity, and add a day. Once I dropped some of my weight, I added in some light strength (10-20 minutes) after cardio. Good luck! You can lose!

Looks as good as it sounds!!

When I first lost my weight on MFP, I didn't pay attention to the macros either. I just watched my calories. LOL, to be honest, I didn't know what a macro was. It was a long time ago, not as much focus on macros and woe back then.

Awesome progress!! For those starting Keto, I recommend the groups on here The Low Carber Daily Forum group and The Keto group. Lots of active discussions, recipes, and tips.

I caught a disease that causes extreme carb sensitivities. I have been at Keto for just over 2 months. The other commenters are correct. I get about or over 50 total carbs a day almost all in fruits and veggies, my net carbs usually come in under 25. I shoot for around 1400-1700 calories. My daily goal limit is set at…

When I stalled in the past or hit a plateau, I change things up just a little. Like add a couple of short sprints in day if possible while walking. Flip meals around, eating light breakfast and heavier dinner, I flip to heavier breakfast and lighter dinner or vice versa. Eat chocolate after a light cardio workout, it will…

I recommend joining the groups The Low Carber Daily Forum group and The Keto group on here. Lots of recipes and tips. Both groups are active with discussions! Good luck!

My fiance and I are foodies, both went to culinary school. I love making my plates look like art, especially with colorful veggies.

@LyndaBSS It's so hard to research keto, because of all the hype, unrealistic stories (which can happen, but very rarely), and all the quackery on the subject out there. I see people on here upset because they started Keto and only lost 5 in the first week, when they were expecting to lose 25-35 lbs of water weight in the…

I battle with this one!!! Because, I wish we could go back to the way we were eating. We maintained healthy weight for years, eating what we wanted. I've commented on other post that when I first lost weight (gained from injury) years ago (before getting sick), if I craved a doughnut, I went to bakery and bought one…

I was rushing out the door to get my daughter to a doctor's appointment when I typed that. For most on Keto long term, they have the medical conditions listed above, and conditions do improve on Keto, but I wanted to add that a lot of these conditions improve by just losing weight and/or cutting carbs to a low carb diet,…

@missGYST Keto is miraculous when it comes to the health issues for the doctor recommended medical problems. My daughter has had Crohn's since 6 yrs old. And the improvement to her health and bowel issues in just two months is far more significant than anything else we've tried over the years. But for an otherwise healthy…

@QueenofCaffeine4Life I have had quick (almost too quick) results, but I started eating due to a health problem where carbs were contributing to major weight gain. From what I've seen on here, my results are far from typical. I also eat a very clean version, still getting in a lot of fruits and veggies, which is not common…

Hey!! @Keliz1173 You and I have conversed a little in the groups, ;) Some people do thrive on it! I'm happy to hear when people succeed long term with any WOE. The feeling fuller for longer, is definitely a real thing. Playing devil's advocate here: most have problems with this too. One of the biggest complaints I see in…

Thanks, exactly why I posted this. I've been wanting to post this for a while, but was scared to post, unsure of the response I'd get. Keto ruffles feathers of both supporters and opposers. I've only been on MFP for 70 something days... And in that short time have literally seen 100s start, then quit keto. They all start…

@Diatonic12 I make my own fat bombs, I haven't bought any name brand products. Again, they're expensive. They put the word "keto" on the box, charge an arm and a leg for it. I make up a batch of over 20 and eat 1 or 2 a day, when I make. 2/3 cup coconut oil, 2/3 cup unsweetened peanut butter, 1-2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa…

Sorry, so long, you made a good point, and I wanted to address the reality of the hype! I've been eating keto for over two months, and the hype (IMO) is very overdramatized. Here's the truth to the hype... In my experience, research, and observations. From the research I've read, keto and any normal deficit end up with the…

I never bought the MCT oil. I haven't needed it. I told myself not to invest money in any "keto" marketed products unless I got a very stubborn, very prolonged plateau. I take magnesium 250 mg. I cook mostly with sea salt. I very lightly sprinkle potassium salt substitute on my cooked foods. I take an adrenal blend…

Interesting, thanks for sharing!! I want to up carbs a little (still low carb), but maybe not keto low. And up proteins a little, after I get to goal. Dairy is one food that is tricky for me. I get kidney stones, but I love cheese. Reduced fat milk products make me bloat and hurt, but the full fat creams do not. I can't…

Yep, depends on where you're going and what you're doing. Can always find meat at restaurants (steak, chicken, burgers, fish) on a salad or hold the bread. Tuna snack packs (pre-kits that come with tuna and mayo), boiled eggs go good in that mix too or plain. Hitting nature, I love meat cooked over an open fire. Family...I…

I like the groups and recommend joining The Keto group and The Low Carber Daily Forum group. Lots of active discussions, recipes, and tips. Good luck.
