  • Thanks. I took a couple of training plans and came up with my own to fit my schedule. I did 12 miles about a month before my half. Remember, to listen to your body. If something doesn’t feel right then stop. Just enjoy the day. When is your half?
  • Yes it does. I did a C25k 8 years ago and couldn’t make it past week 3 which was running for 3 minutes consecutively. Now I’m training for my first half marathon. Just remember to listen to your body. No matter how far you go or how fast, you’re still better than the person on the couch.
  • I work 3 12 hour night shifts a week. I stay to the usual meal times. So, when I wake up in the afternoon I’ll try to get some exercise then eat a normal dinner. I’ll have a snack around 2000-2100 and again around 0130-0200. On my way home I’ll usually have some oatmeal or Greek yogurt.
  • My average pace is anywhere between 10-12 minutes per mile. A real good program to use to start running is a couch to 5k. Keep up the good work and keep putting one foot in front of the other. And as mentioned above take rest days.
  • I’ve been running for a few years and still don’t go every day. I try to get some form of exercise 3-4 times a week. Look into some strength training exercises as that does help with the running
