2nd variation: grilled chicken (marinated in raspberry vinegrette), raspberries, blackberries, sliced almonds and raspberry vinegrette (to be added at meal time - all prepped for this week’s lunches)

Karate background growing up (thru college), joined the military- tried TKD and Judo because that was what was available where I was stationed. Combatives (JJ based) in the Army - but nothing serious. After retiring, found a BJJ to do something with the boys, still get some exercise, competition, etc. immediately fell I…

[quote :D Teenage Boys, that BJJ might come in handy [/quote] Unfortunately neither one fell in love with JJ like me and have moved on to other sports. However, it did serve them pretty well growing up - both had a couple of “normal boyhood ‘scraps’” (not what I would really call a fight) and handled them well and came out…

100% agree about the journey. I’ve been doing it long enough that it’s part of who I am now and I will definitely be back on the mats. JJ is my social time, the little bit of exercise I get (not nearly enough...), “guy time”, fuels my competiveness, etc. Love TUF and MMA. Funny story - to me at least. I’m still a relative…

Have you read “The Gracie Diet”? Parts of it seem really good; other bits kinda squirrelly. Honestly - Disciplined eating is my biggest/#1 challenge to overcome. Hoping MFP will help

Purple belt - been off the mats for about 4 months for shoulder reconstruction; probably another 4 months or so until I can get back on the mats. The absence is kilillllllliiing me!
