You all are kind of illustrating my dilemma. What I have wondered is whether or not the activity level sets the BMR & then you add exercise on top of it. In a way I could see it as double-counting which would not be good.

I log my weight and after 23 lbs. the calories hadn't changed. About halfway to my goal at the -23 lbs point, I decide that I need to drop another 10 lbs., so I adjusted my goal. The daily calorie allowance dropped by 130 calories per day, roughly a 7% decrease of what was allowed before. Something isn't right. I expect…

I was curious so I scanned in the barcode on the garlic powder that I use. It's a generic brand. It came up as 28 calories per teaspoon.
