This is such great advice! It really spoke to me. I also suffer from depression and anxiety and have a completely lousy self image. I'm trying to get my physical and mental health in order and am proud of the progress I've made.

You're not giving up which is great. Sometimes the numbers on the scale are so frustrating that we forgot to look at other measures of success. How do you feel? Is it easier to move? Do you have more pep and stamina? Don't forget to keep these non-scale victories in sight too!

Hi! I'm looking for friends/support. 53 in years, but a good 15 years younger in attitude! Tired of not being as healthy as I could be, so have started walking and I feel great. Have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks and am hoping to lose 30 more in the next year or so. "Mom" to three dogs, a cat, 20 chickens and 6 turkeys (for now!).

I've been struggling to lose weight since I was kicked out of the Army for being 3 lbs overweight. 30 years and 75 lbs later I'm diabetic and worrying I'll run out of time like my dad did when her died in his 60's. I'm 53 now and want more than another 10-15 years on this planet!
