Also, if you aren't using a digital food scale, you're probably eating more than you think.

It takes time. You didn't put all the weight on at once, you won't lose it all at once. In the beginning a bigger drop could be water weight. Look to lose about 1 lb/week. Make sure you weigh at the same time under the same circumstances.

Thank you so much! That makes a lot of sense.

Anyone feel free to add me. 25 looking to lose 30 pounds.
-
25, same height, trying to lose weight and tone up :) Anyone feel free to add!

I'm 5'6" and would love to see 137 on the scale. I think 117 would be too low for my height, but you may have a naturally thinner frame than I do. As another poster said, try weights for body recomposition. If being your current weight makes you miserable, then I don't think you should give up. If you know you can't stop…

My first year teaching (kindergarten), I had read the "True Story of the 3 Little Pigs." On one page is a picture of the wolf with a super round belly from eating a piggy or two. One of my little girls came up to me and said I looked like him -_- I lost weight my 2nd year, but put some back on. This year, my 3rd, same…

PB2 is a powdered peanut butter you reconstitute with water. It contains 45 calories and 1.5 g of fat per 2 tablespoon serving. It tastes pretty good. Not as good as regular, but good enough for me. I have a serving with an apple in the afternoon. I buy it on Amazon.

I'm a 25 year old teacher as well. I will definitely add you! Anyone else feel free to add me as well :)

I asked my Dr yesterday and she said it wasn't a bad idea to get one to make sure my heart rate wasn't getting too high during cardio. Thank you for your input!
-
What was the brand you found OP?
-
Have you tried PB2? It's a powdered peanut butter you reconstitute with water. It is 45 calories and 1.5 grams of fat per 2 tablespoons. It is very similar to regular PB in my opinion.

Mine are between 200-450 calories.

I use the tablespoon serving of dressing for carrot sticks, not a salad. That's why I only needed half a serving. Thanks everyone for your input. I've been weighing it recently. Love my food scale :)

I have tried both GNC Lean Shake 25 and IdealShape. I used to mix with skim milk but switched to unsweetened vanilla almond milk to save protein (I was getting way too much, 100+g/day). I'm currently using the IdealShape, which is the highest ranked on the meal replacement review website. I tried the strawberry and hated…

Also a Florida girl looking to drop 30-40 pounds. Add me if you'd like :) We can do it!

I'm 25 and looking to lose 30-40lbs. You can add me :)
-
You can add me as well. I am in a similar boat. Not new, but trying again.

I agree. I just found this stuff and although it isn't exactly the same as regular peanut butter, it's pretty close. I'm very picky, and I loved it! It kind of reminded me of the peanut butter in Reeses. A little grainy, and a little less potent on flavor, but still delicious.

Thanks for sharing! I will ask my doctor about that.
-
Great attitude! Just do what you can for now, even if it's 5 minutes. You'll keep getting stronger!!
-
Great suggestion, thanks!
-
She said I'm okay to exercise. I see her next week and I've got some questions for her and I think I'll add what my target heart rate should be and what my max is.
-
The important thing is you are trying again! I am in the same boat. I've lost weight 2 times before and have gained it back both times. But I'm trying again! Good luck!
-
There is also a brand of wine called "Skinny Girl" which is lower calorie. I haven't tried it though.
-
I used a tablespoon and then poured it into the cup to place in my lunch bag. I'll have to try again, maybe it wasn't levelled. Thanks for your input!
-
Thanks for the input guys. It is Publix Lite Ranch dressing and it does have a weight in parenthesis next to the tablespoon serving size.

I'm a 3rd year Kindergarten teacher. I understand the drain that age group has on you. I worked similar hours my firs 1.5 years. My first year, I put on a ton of weight, lost it during my second, and now put it back on from the end of the second to now. It can be just so easy to get fast food or stop at the gas station. I…

When I get sick, I usually lose my appetite. For sore throats, a lot of tea with honey and some soups with salt. If I'm really feeling bad, I won't worry about tracking or exercising. If I'm just starting to feel it or it is near the end, I'll try to exercise because it can help you feel better sooner. Sorry you're not…

That's definitely something to check out. I'll have to look and see what I'm at. Thanks!
