Guys idk what to do I’m about to smash this thing. Now it’s broken again... it’s saying 1200 calorie burn TOTAL including exercise and BMR (my bmr is minimum 1600) for the whole day... it’s wildly inaccurate. I’m going to be returning it :(

I mean my BMR is 1900 my TDEE is around 2500.

It was showing like 1500 TOTAL calories for the day. My BMR is about 1900 because I’m tall, fat, young and I walk like 10 miles a day plus workouts. It was insane lol

OMG GUYS... I found the problem..... I am shocked how stupid it is. So I had put my birthdate in accurately. For whatever reason Fitbit listed me as “women in 30-39 age range” which I’m clearly not as I’m in my 20s. I moved the birth date back a couple months to test it out and boom... my calorie count went up hundreds...…

Also if anyone can comment on the band and any adjustments they made? I started wearing it today, and I’ve already noticed it cuts into my wrist bones. I have it on a loose setting but not too loose so it won’t spin around like it has been. I have really bony wrists for my size. I think it might be the watch face cutting…

I sit at a desk job all day, but I workout 7 hours a week. I don’t eat back exercise calories so my calorie level is lightly active. If I was eating the “sedentary” calories I’d be in an almost 2000 calorie deficit. My TDEE is 3000. Then again I’m 20 and almost 6’. I don’t consider someone who runs 50 miles a week…

None of this is accurate I am asking because I am looking to change my plans. I am questioning if my cut was too large which it seems from the responses it was. I have already upped calories and am currently cutting on 2500.

Thanks! I will try a couple weeks at 2300-2500 and work my way down to 2000 as I lose. My BMI is only 25 I think? I’m 5’10” and 169lb and I have insane genetics. My exercise is next to none. I was at first but then I had to stop bc the running, swimming and weight lifting was making me even more hungry :(

thank you! Helpful! I am not sure I’m “low carb”. I tend to eat mostly meat and vegetables but I eat English muffins and bread everyday usually one small amount at every meal or 2/3 meals. I’m probably getting 100g carb a day but I don’t know for sure bc I don’t track macros.

I agree. I just am confused because 2000 calories is definitely not starving and this is all because my maintainance is so high. After a few weeks of eating lower calorie my metabolism should adapt to be slightly slower right? I can’t imagine a cut on 2500 calories because I’m not a man and I’m barely overweight. I’ve…

I had to set my activity to active. My TDEE is 2800 calories. I don’t have a very active job. I’m a normal student. Losing 2 pounds a week on 1800 calories.

Ahhh!! Thanks for commenting and the request. Between your post and another post similar I looked into frame size based ideal weight. It seems for someone with a very small frame like me an ideal weight is anything from 129 to 149. 😊

Are you me?! I’m incredibly small framed. My wrists are 4.5 inches and I have size 4 fingers. My shoulders are nonexistent even at a high weight lol

I’m almost 6’ I would faint on 1200. My TDEE is somewhere between 2500-3000. I set my calories to 1600. :)
