  • Barbie, thanks so much for sharing!
  • @Ann, thank you! I was hoping the MFP plan I've been working on this past year would have made a positive impact on the bones, but then again, if I hadn't been following the plan the results could have been even worse!
  • Thanks Steve! Hope you are doing well and had an enjoyable 4th.
  • @Gemini-My oncologist suggested Prolia, but it appears to be pretty pricey. I spoke with my PCP's triage nurse and she said they normally start out with Fosomax or Actenol. But it sounds like the pills did not work for you...ouch! I might just start out with the pills and wait and see if Medicare will cover more of the…
  • Health inquiry; any Osteoporosis patients that would care to share their experiences, medication, etc?
  • Today's the last day of my 12 day vacation and I thoroughly enjoyed the time off in spite of our current state of affairs. We did go to Myrtle Beach and had a great time, the weather was perfect. Saw dolphins and my grandson saw a jellyfish. Spent hours on the beach looking for shark teeth, my grandson found quite a few,…

  • Thanks for the tip! I didn't know this info was here either.
  • Thanks guys, appreciate your words of encouragement! New Mini Goal, 10lbs/BMI 19.5 by EOY. I use the "one item at a time" laundry tip too, although when hubby scratches his head, I just tap my fitbit watch and he's like, "oh....yeah...".
  • Hit original goal yesterday 70lbs! New mini goal 10lbs loss/BMI 19.5 by 12/31/20.
  • I'm pretty excited. I hit my original goal weight today. I started July 1, 2020 with a 18 month plan to lose 70lbs and hit it today, 3 months early. I expect it will waiver for the next week or so before it dips under & stays, but today is the day I hit it! I have revised my goal, but it will be at a much slower pace to…

  • @AnnPT77, this is what I'm looking for: TDEE estimate = ((pounds lost X 3500) + calories eaten) / days in time period Thank you!!
  • Hi there! I'm 62 also. I'm 5" and started at 180lbs a year ago. I exercise at home and my routine has increased from 20 minutes a day 3-4x weekly to 45 minutes a day 5-7x days a week. In the last couple of weeks I've added another 30 minutes at lunch maybe 2-3x weekly. I do have exercise equipment and here's my routine…
  • Hi! I'm thinking that if you have extra calories at the end of the day, there isn't any wrong choices as long as you stay within your limit. I've had a serving size of ice cream(count the grams!) and a kit kat stick for a late night snack and still remained at goal. Also, you can look at the week, 1 day you might go over,…
  • FYI...looking for a crayon version.
  • Good morning everyone, I have a question. What is a simple, accurate way to figure your TDEE without using a caliper to determine your body fat%?
  • Reward yourself with new clothes!
  • The stakeout didn't work, I checked every 15 minutes in the dark and nothing happened. After I gave up at 1am, the next morning it was empty. So, just bringing the feeder in everything night, as long as I remember to. Other than that, it's been in the 90s last week and no rain. We were supposed to get some remnants of…
  • Are you certain about the 1150 per day? I'm 62 and 5ft. I also home workout minimum 5x a week, 45 minutes a day. Calculator.net says at my current weight of 114 with moderate exercise 4-5x a week, maintenance is 1463, lose .5 weekly is 1,213. What did you use to get 1150 maintenance?

  • Well, I forgot to bring in the hummingbird feeder until 11:15 last night and it had already been drained which means the thirsty thief arrived between 9 and 11:15. I don't have a Ring so no camera to catch the culprit. I might have to do a stake out tonite and see what happens.
  • Good morning! @RetiredAndLovingIt- The feeder is back in its spot and the hummingbirds are happy. I brought it in last night. I'm suspecting my culprits could be bats because they don't bother the backyard feeders that have solar lights. @lindagalbreath577-I can very clearly remember my 40th, can't you? How is it possible…
  • Hi to All! I learned something today...for the last couple of weeks the hummingbird feeder I have outside my front window was being drained "bone dry" every night. Found out it's a real "thing"! Either Bats or Raccoons. I got 2 suggestions, move it or bring it in every evening. I think I'll go with bringing it in. I like…
