@alteredsteve175: love your lab, reminds me of our lab, Toby. I've got pictures of him in the very same pose! He's gone now, but he was my favorite and seeing your pic brings the smiles!

Any peony lovers?? Have you seen the "bowl of love" peony?? I want to see one in real life! Love peonies, full of childhood memories. I've got 6 white in the front yard...my grandsons call them the "ant flowers" though......

New breakfast today that hit the spot! Cottage cheese, sliced banana, fresh blueberries, drizzled with honey. Very summery!

Something else to think about on the journey, you WILL see results along the way! After the first 20lbs, 40lbs, etc. you'll be buying new clothes, fitting into old ones, recognizing the small successes will keep you on the track to your ultimate goal.

This is a great idea! What's the average calorie count for this? It sounds like a great summer breakfast.

For protein, eggs are really good I think. Do you like cottage cheese? I think it goes well with fruit or vegetables. I've substituted the starch (potato, rice, pasta) in my meals with cottage cheese.

Good Morning everyone! So happy, first hummingbird sighting of the season yesterday afternoon and he's back again this morning. I usually set the feeders out 4/15 but it was just too chilly, so didn't get them set out until last Sunday. Maybe Spring is finally here.

That's fabulous!

2.94 per week for 23 weeks is not slow! Congratulations and do not get discouraged when it slows down to .5 to 1 per week, it just means you are getting closer to goal.

I'm 5'1" and 62 years old. I started MFP 7/1/19 at 180 lbs and hit a new number at 118.4 yesterday. My original goal was 110, but now I'll see what I think when I get there.

@Fishwishing, this rain and temps should encourage those morals to pop up. Definitely in the top 5 of my bucket list was to find the Morel Motherlode, but alas, even my dearly departed uncle would not divulge his spot. I even offered to be blindfolded! I'll started having dreams about them soon, always do right before the…

@joy4strength, you are where I was at last July and I promise if I can stick to it, you will be able to also! Just plan on taking it day by day. There's no bad days or cheat days, you just might go over your limit for a day, but look at a week view and let your calories average out for the week. Do you know how many…

I was worried about weight gain on vacation this year, we were planning a great vacation that hits at my MFP 1 year anniversary. Funny how things can change in just a few months, now I'm worried if we get to go at all....

Hi linda7i3i & joy4strength! @linda, how long have you been working on those 55 lbs? I started 7/1/19 and just hit the 60 lb mark this week. @joy, it really is all about counting calories: what you eat & what you burn. MFP has really help me stay on track too. Several MFP users load their calories in before they eat and…

Speaking of Irises...I separated mine in the fall of 2018, they came up 2019, but they didn't bloom. I'm hoping I see blooms this spring!

I officially updated & extended my weight loss plan. Originally it was 2019-2020, but moving out to 2021 now. Foolishly I set my expectations at 6lbs a month, and when you're class 2 obese, the first few months are not difficult to reach, but I adjusted it to 4lbs a month last October with success. Now, after being…
