Morning! Wrapped up November with 240.59! Im in for a minimum of 200 again for December. it was 23F this morning. Fartlek. Felt amazing and the cold wasn't at all what I thought it would be. Everything around me was frozen yet I was not. Everything was in sync and clicked. It was probably my best 4am run up to this point.…

@quilteryoyo @polska_girl @skippygirlsmom @Tramboman LOD time is 12/28/2020 0500 There is no not doing it now. I don't have to make it to 100. Though I am going to try. To put you a little at ease, I will not be entirely alone. There is a running community in Indy also. I have reached out to them. We'll see who shows up. I…

@skippygirlsmom @quilteryoyo @Teresa502 Thank you! @quilteryoyo I can still stay with my brother. Just the kids can't go. I wish we could change everything around, but it's set. We've already committed. I think what we're going to do is pin down some dates when I can bring the kids just for a visit so it isn't about…

Oh One More Thing: I can't remember what I did last year that worked - I wasn't running at 4am so never had to deal with 20 degrees F. Tomorrow is 27F at 4AM. Indiana is going to be quite cold as well, in winter. Recommendations for jackets, layers, etc? I think I have enough stuff to layer but do I need like a specific…

Morning! lots of running! 171 posts behind! SO. MUCH. RUNNING. And lifting. Back to work today - but it's a rest day for the body, thank God. Ran and lifted Thursday, then an ultra Friday, short run Saturday, short Run Sunday --- got the house ready for Christmas! Woo hoo! Kids are getting excited and the Christmas…

Hahahaha @quilteryoyo nope, I didn't get lost too bad, just the car did. :) @Teresa502 @Scott6255 @skippygirlsmom @katharmonic @martaindale and everybody else - thank you for your support and kind words! It actually means more than you know - I couldn't tell anybody about it except the kids' dad and had to take so many…

Good morning, everybody! @Teresa502 excellent! It sounds like you had such a nice run! @rheddmobile yep, I feel the body slow to start a lot. Every day. Can't get the engine to turn over, sometimes. Then once it's going, I can't let off the gas. @skippygirlsmom sounds like your run was really nice too. I love reading your…

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA yep.

I am in Dallas. And i just paid $14 for a shot of tequila. Didn’t stop the whole way here. Mask on right away. And so far zero interaction with anyone. It’s starting to kind of hit that I just drove to Dallas after being up and working all day just to run a race they said is cancelled / virtual. Maybe I HAVE lost my mind.

Oh! I did check in on @pastorvincent 's wife - She and their son are doing well. She is working, which I don't think she did before. She loves her job. She says she is trying to juggle everything and learn to do things differently, but her words read as though she has peace - and a new normal. Keep her in your thoughts and…

Skimmed. Yay @tramboman! I had 57F at 4AM! It was great! Got to do strides too, which I love. Lifted and ran yesterday. Normally today I would run doubles but today is the day I drive to Texas. I can't leave work for a bit then I have to handle arrangements with kids and their dad and the dog so I won't arrive in TX until…

All! Shipping Update: The medals go out in the mail TOMORROW, 11/19/2020. WHOOP WHOOP! @Contrary_MaryM hahahahah I wish there was something to be on that would be longterm and safe, rotfl. So yesterday. Run am, run pm (hill repeats), then lift. I was beat, but I finished all of it. Longer run this morning. Kinda slow…

@quilteryoyo yeah, definitely interval strength and cross training, lol. @rheddmobile just. WOW. I have seen that one other time in my life. Mortifying. @Tramboman you sound like me! Shoes and rest! hahahahaha yesterday was a rest day for me and the kids and I were so ridiculous after we got back from therapy that we put a…

@quilteryoyo thank you! Funny you say that about family. Because. I have five siblings and haven't seen my oldest brother or my twin brother since our mother died in 2016. my friend that ran with me saturday was so surprised! He said, "Oh wow! I thought you must see them all the time!" Pfft. No, not at all. Like if I…

Great race, @katharmonic!!!! Totally skimmed. I hate when time is so limited that I have to do that. @Tramboman it has been cold cold cold at 4am here. Usually low to mid 30sF, but the evenings are usually in the 40's and 50s, so I can still wear shorts and tank. I keep wanting to shop for hot and cold weather gear because…

@Tramboman I had 34F. Cold cold. But the thing about the things in this life is that they are all temporary. Every. Single. Thing. Plus. Only notice how cold it is if you stop moving. ;) In Irving, TX it will be 72 with some clouds (allegedly) so I will have the opportunity to see the sun. Praise Jesus.

@rheddmobile YES. THIS. SO. MUCH. THIS. Without getting too political. When i saw the results on Saturday. I have never felt so free or happy while doing almost 24 miles on all very hilly, technical trails. My head was SO HIGH in the clouds. Also @quilteryoyo you are such a badass! Congrats on the 1st place!!!!!

hahahahahaha @Scott6255 Taco Bell is my greatest vice. After every ultra, after the final run in the series, I go get a bean burrito. It's basically like I'm living on the edge. lmao

@polskagirl01 and @quilteryoyo I realize I'm jumping in late in the conversation but agree. The cyclists come from all over the world here. Just for these trails that are five minutes from my house. I have also found that they can be quite snobbish. I think it's because of what they've invested in what they're doing. A lot…
-
@rheddmobile you and me both! I am so behind. How are you all doing? I will try to check back again today before I leave work. Still grinding. Still running. Still healthy. Still eating nonstop (rotflmao hunger is my only emotion). Coach said I should do a turkey trot - find an in person one. Looks Like I Am Going To…

Hahahahaha @hamsterwheel6 I'm glad you're enjoying the Nevada posts. It's really all I can say about the election. I did post one Biden meme that was too funny not to post and I'm sure that a lot of people are making a lot of assumptions about who I voted for, and I'll never tell. I will say... I voted with the best…

@Scott6255 man, that was a tough day, though! Halloween was a lot of fun - I thought I was tired that day, but Sunday is when I knew I was REALLY tired. Ran ten that day then lifted then more movies. Lord. I needed sleep so bad. @rheddmobile I LOVE the photos. I am excited about my long run this weekend because the weather…

@quilteryoyo oh nooooo !!!!!!! I'm so sorry! I would guess that the postponing would be an additional stress. Dangit. I want you to be full and have peace and no anxiety! I will be praying for this! haha yep, IG and crazy miles. Not a lot of rest for this momma. I mean I do sleep. But every morning at 4am running then, on…

All right I'm 308 posts behind. I'll never catch up. So. How are you all? How are you REALLY? That's all I want to know. My life is the same - just waking at 4am, running doubles, lifting, raising kids. All that stuff! 4am is starting to feel normal. Well, actually. It was starting to feel normal last week. So this week…
-
4AM Rise and Grind, done. This morning was harder. I knew it was the last one of the week, so wanted to just not do it. I could just run the time and distance tonight instead. But that would mean I didn't do a whole week of 4am's. For some reason, that consistency really matters to me. I guess because I believe it's the…
-
@Teresa502 Good luck on your race! I don't know what the rest of the world does on Saturdays, lol. Even on weekends that I have my kids, I will fit in a run on Saturday. Then the rest of the day is for them. 2020 has really not been great for that though; We used to have so much fun.... We do still watch movies and crack…
-
4AM is starting to feel like something a normal person would do. Running doubles today because I don't want to tomorrow - it's Friday and therefore, I work ten hours then drive the kids to see their dad, which is a total of two hours, right after work. I won't be home til around 8:30PM, so I'll lift, but I'm not running…
-
@quilteryoyo Carefully. That's how. Very, very carefully. With as much grace as possible. For myself, my kids, my dog, the people I work with. For example, since I work fifty hours a week. 4am is the only time I am not needed. Then, I run according to my schedule in my neighborhood. The kids know where I am the whole time,…

So far behind! Started a post to respond to all of you yesterday, but work got ridiculously busy late in the day. Like after 4:30pm late. I leave at 5. Not yesterday! it's okay, it all ends up being money. Whatever. @quilteryoyo Nov 4! Just two weeks! I will be praying for you! Everyone running - yay! KEEP GOING! Everyone…
