Sure, but "eat back your exercise calories" is understood by the vast majority of people on here (from what I've read anyway) to mean "eat whatever MFP/my tracker/the exercise bike says I've burned by exercising". Instead of tracking with tape measure and scales, those numbers are held up as if they mean something to the…

Of course I'm not 100% off, that's ridiculous. My body is 100% accurate in registering intake and output. Yes, it takes time. There is no quick fix for learning to eat what your body needs.

Thing is, people act as if "eat back your exercise calories" is the gold standard in weight loss and fitness. It is not. It appears to be something lots of people have accepted as the gold standard though. And with trackers being notoriously unreliable and people not being perfect creatures where it comes to weighing and…

I don't bank calories and I don't "eat back" exercise calories. Today is today and when it's past it's past and if I'm not hungry I don't need to force myself either.

Fad diets have always been around. I remember in the 80s my mum's friends being on bread diets for instance. There's just a lot more "making money off people's insecurities" going on these days than there used to be then.

Nope, I don't factor exercise at all in my allotted calories for the day.

The only thing worth paying for is a subscription to the gym if you have trouble working out on your own without guidance. None of these programmes offer anything you cannot do for yourself. Still, they're great little earners, aren't they?

Sometimes just before I brush my teeth. Makes no difference as long as it's within my allotted food.
