@Emmajhare Have you gone into steps and selected the Garmin Connect after you've uninstalled /delinked the Samsung Health? It may be super obvious but I had a similar thing because I didn't realise it had to be manually switched after delinking my fitbit! Other than that... not sure so good luck 😅

@aliciap0116 that's great! I use mfp and reddit and I see people freaking out over stuff like that on a regular basis. @Jenfromtheblock84 you're doing great! I gotta take a page from your book and up my exercising! And even if there are slip ups, that's life and we just gotta keep trying 😊

@Aerohead21 I also can't stop at one! One of the few benefits of living by myself is I can reduce the temptations in the kitchen. However if I buy biscuits/cake/etc, look out!! @kali31337 Sounds like a great routine you've got going. Good luck for Feb :)

Steps Jan 8- 2778 Jan 9- 5275 Jan 10- 6460 @angmarie28 Well done on a great day! Being flexible enough to give yourself a cheat day but still coming under maintenance is awesome

I've been lurking the last couple of weeks and as always you are all very inspiring! Really helps me stick with it SW: 233 (25 November) Jan SW: 217 CW: 215 2020 GW: 170 I feel like my eating habits have definitely changed over the last 6ish weeks, which is great. And some of my pants are feeling a little looser! @Terytha…

I play alto & soprano sax in a couple of dorky bands 😊 I used to play piano but unfortunately haven't for many years due to moving around and not having a piano to play any more. I'd like to sign up for the steps challenge. My goal at the moment is to just get >5000 daily. Jan 5: 7,131 Also today is my Monday weigh in:…

The habit tracker is great! I'm new - about 6 weeks in to properly trying to lose weight and now things are slowing down I really need to bed down some good habits. For 2020 I'd like to average ~1lb per week loss, start getting active, and practice music consistently.

If you go to settings in the app and then 'Profile and Privacy' it's your name there. My username is Gelatinous Cube, new to garmin too 😊
-
@jessicakrall8 Thanks! I may not be cube-ish but I'm certainly gelatinous- something I hope to work on for the next year 😄 I'm pretty new in the journey - signed up for mfp but never did more than that till a month ago. SW: 106kg (25th November) CW: 100.2kg (23rd December) My current plan is to keep on tracking my food…

Hey all! I'm also on the look out for some active friends. I signed up a while back but didn't really follow through. I properly started about a month ago and want to keep that ball rolling. Please feel free to add me ☺️
-
Heya! Also checking in as 5'4" with ~100lb to lose. I started about a month ago and could definitely use some buddies to keep me going ☺️. Feel free to add me!

26/11: 106kg 2/12: 104kg 9/12: 101.7kg 16/12: 100.3kg 23/12: 100.3kg So Monday marked 4 weeks/my first month and I've managed my goal of logging everything I eat (even if it is wild guesstimates sometimes). And for a total of 6ish kg/13lbs I'm feeling pretty good. Ground to a halt in this last week but that wasn't…

Big dinner day with friends who love to cook and bake delicious food. Logged what I could guesstimate but oof. On the plus side, made plans to *try* to start walking with a couple of friends so it will balance out... eventually :)

@VoicedJoy22 @lindamtuck2018 Thanks, I will look into some beginner workout videos on youtube. Hopefully I'll be able to take up rowing again eventually (well, maybe if I hate mornings less :P) @aliciap0116 Hahah well I am pretty gelatinous right now. not very cube-ish though. Thanks for the info from the trainer, that's…

Some of you may be able to provide advice (or anecdotes) - I'm just starting out by reducing and counting calories but do plan on adding exercise once I've maintained this habit for a few months. However, I've been pretty darn inactive for years and am not sure a good place to start- something doable at home would be good…

Congrats all on keeping with it even on the days we're totally not  26/11: 108kg - > 106kg 2/12: 106kg - > 104kg 9/12: 101.7kg 16/12: 100.3kg As a newbie to this all I'm a little worried now that the losses are going to get smaller and that my adversely affect my determination... my brain believes that it's likely…

@lindaporter2018 I used the premium version with the free trial before actually properly starting to log everything, but the difference for my purposes is negligible. So my 2nd weigh-in! Adjusting those previous numbers because new scale 26/11: 108kg - > 106kg 2/12: 106kg - > 104kg 9/12: 101.7kg I've been logging everyday…
-
So I ended up getting some new scales because it was so hard to get a consistent reading with my old ones. They were cheap and mechanical, and every time I move my feet the reading changed. Did a quick comparison and there's at least a 2kg (4.5lb) difference... in the good way! So now I can go back and change my previous…
-
So did my first weigh in today (after starting last week) Height: 164cm / 5'4" SW: 108kg CW: 106kg GW: 85kg UGW: 60kg Definitely gotta get a better scale. The cheapo mechanical one I have doesn't seem super accurate. Goal for this month is to log daily regardless of going over my aim, and to set the habit of 1200-1400 cal…

I'm in! I'm about a week in and hope to keep it up through December

Hi! I've also just started the journey - after downloading mfp and messing around with it a few times I figure I should try doing it properly. I'm over in Perth
-
Hey! I'm in Perth and also have about 40kg to lose. Having an accountability buddy would be great because damn am I easily tempted 😅
