  • You don’t need to eat salad at all if you don’t like it. I hate raw tomatoes and I’m sick of eating salad. I cut up raw carrots, cucumber, and red peppers and eat those instead. I don’t like celery or mushrooms. Life is too short to eat food you don’t like.
  • I use earplugs - the orange squishy ones that construction workers or whoever use at work. They fit every size ear and drown out most noise. And I can sleep comfortably on my side.
  • Hey Cliff! My son lost 200 pounds by eating lower carb, walking and using the bike at the gym. He really loves standup comedy too. You sound like you’ve got motivation and a solid plan behind you, and a wonderful son to set a good example for. I’m rooting for you!
  • Try Zevia or any other stevia soft drinks instead. They’re not quite as tasty as regular pop so I drink less of them. If I buy Diet Pepsi, I can drink three cans versus one of Zevia
  • Basically we were all told to stay home and bake bread. No yeast - just use beer. Here's a recipe for yeast-free sourdough starter. So I'm sure all that bread didn't help anyone's weight loss efforts.
