@nancyinmiami - Thank you for your willingness to step into the co-captain role. I appreciate you all 🙏🏼 On a related, note, I apologize for the inconvenience but I’m hoping you can excuse me from this week’s weigh in @Pupowl and @jessicakrall8. The scale at my mother’s house is so random — sometimes it works and other…

@Pupowl — That news makes me sad but I want what’s best for you, and you know what that is (sigh 😔). In-person support sounds like a good idea and I hope the gym is working out well for you as part of your overall circle of support. Still, I’ll miss you! I’m also planning to stay in touch with you directly so I won’t be…

Tuesday’s Steps Patrice Daily Goal = 5,000 3/11 = 2,648 The weather was so nice today and I thought I would walk to the grocery store but I ended up cleaning my mother’s porch and washing her kitchen windows. So, I was moving a bit but didn’t get my steps — trade offs! I’m in Boston to help my mother so I guess that’s the…

Tuesday’s Steps Goal = 5,000 3/10 = 2,582 I was struggling to concentrate on my work today, so I didn’t get outdoors at all, but I finished a key task 😅 — I’m glad it’s behind me now and I hope to get outside to walk tomorrow!

That’s nice to hear @izzyred9400. I’ll have to pay more attention to the local events in my area. My mother wasn’t feeling motivated to do anything to celebrate but I had a wonderful brunch with my sister and two of my closest friends yesterday (Sunday). I hope everyone is having a good start to the week!

That must feel great @JessicaKrall8. Congratulations on all you accomplished! 🎉 I also got the badge for International Women’s Day, but I’m not sure what I did to receive it. I’m curious how the day is recognized. Do any of you, or your communities, celebrate in a particular way? I’m going to ask my mother if there’s…

@izzyred9400 - I had that problem, too, and I figured it was the new format — but, I’m not sure. 🤔 Here are my steps for today: Thursday, 3/6 Patrice Step goal = 5,000 Steps= 7,355

Here’s my weekly weigh-in report — Name: PatriceFitnessPal Weigh-in day: Thursday PW: 150.7 CW: 148.6 SW: 168 LtD: 19.4 My short-term goal is to reach a normal BMI level at 140 pounds, and my ultimate goal is to maintain my weight between 125 and 130, with improved nutrition, strength, flexibility, and balance. Best wishes…

Thank you so much, @Pupowl! I usually use my phone but I didn’t see the spoiler option so I logged on to my computer, specifically for that purpose — and still didn’t see the spoiler feature! I appreciate your help navigating the new format!
-
@cre804 - I’m so sorry to hear that your son is also caught up in the chaos and upheaval. I’ll send you a direct message in case there is any way I can help, either here or in Boston, where I’ll be staying March 8-12 to check in with my mother and finish some tasks for her.

Patrice Daily Step Goal: 5,000 Wednesday, 3/5 = 3,067 My steps were low because I had too many work deadlines and there was heavy rain for most of the day. My calorie count was over my target, too, but I think I probably broke even for the day. I just didn’t have a deficit. On the bright side, I made it to yoga this…

I walked to the dentist today instead of driving, but I was a few minutes late. I really had plenty of time, so there’s no excuse (besides my likely undiagnosed ADHD), but usually I’d end up driving. The dentist has the scheduling down to a science so I think they typically call us after about a 5 or 10 minute wait time…

Patrice Daily Step Goal: 5,000 Tuesday, 3/4 = 12,564 it was another soccer night with more steps! ⚽️

Yes — @indoorsy_, I was thinking about the monthly introduction when I posed that question. Thanks for all the feedback. It’s very helpful!
-
I’m not sure if we have any new members but, if so — welcome! I still haven’t posted my introduction this month but I’ll share something by the end of the week. My introduction varies only slightly from month to month but when I add some new details, it gets too long — my posts tend to be long already! So, I have a quick…

Patrice Monday Steps: Goal: 5,000 3/3 = 6,641 I walked to the cleaners today instead of driving! 😊

@looneycatblue - It’s nice to hear about your life-long friendship. It’s helpful to have that kingly of special relationship with someone who is so easy to talk with and enjoy that time passes quickly. I have met many completely loyal Dr. Pepper fans but I had never heard of those flavors. I hope you can find the…

Patrice Sunday steps: 3/2 = 11,712 I played soccer tonight so my steps are higher than usual. I hope everyone has a good week!

Congratulations to the overall F2F honorable mention award winner @sunshinezombiegirl1 and our team leaders 🎉🎉🎉 — @sunshinezombiegirl1, @morenin, and @izzyred9400!

@DaffyGirl88 — Now I’m even more intrigued by the NYC ride. That’s a lot of cyclists to contend with but I think it sounds great! I’m from Boston, and used to commute to college and other places by bike, so I’m comfortable (though cautious) while cycling in the city. We pride ourselves on parallel parking and understand…

Hello Shape Shifters! @Pupowl and @jessicakrall8 — Thank you for posting all the helpful guidance and reminders each month. I appreciate all the work you do each day to keep our group in track! I’m inspired by both of you - and all the team members who walk regularly - so I’m FINALLY joining the step challenge!…
-
Thank you for the nice comment @DaffyGirl88. I’m definitely a work in progress seeking life balance so your encouragement really helps! The Bike the Burroughs race sounds so fun. I’ve never entered a bike race, and the crashes scare me a bit, but that sounds like a great way to see NYC! I’m sure you’ll do well but just…

Great job, @angmarie28! I hope it warms up soon so you don’t have any more trouble with your pipes. With the more active pipes, I know we can drip water to keep them from freezing, but I never thought about the ice dam that could cause problems in the drainage pipes. As my husband and I often ask/say: “Happy 🤬🤬🤬 home…

Thanks for all your work to set up the monthly habit trackers @lauren_989! I’m looking forward to using it this month to build better habits. Yesterday, I posed a question to the team about what motivates us. To me, habits are far more powerful than motivation because we don’t need as much momentum to get started.…

Wow, it looks like every weigh-in has been a loss this week 🤩. Keep up the good work, everyone! Personally, I think it’s more important to keep showing up and building healthier habits, so I don’t believe in basing success solely on the weigh-in, but our team is very impressive so far! 😊 The scale will go up and down in…

I’m returning from the support team in March. So, I’m sharing my starting weight in preparation for next week’s weigh-in report: PatriceFitnessPal Weigh-in day is Thursday Current weight = 150.7 SW: 168 LtD: 17.3 I was on the support team for a little over three months and gained about six pounds because I was away from my…
