I ended up buying this, it works great. I also can do push ups and dips : https://www.amazon.com/Happybuy-Adjustable-Multistation-Station-Fitness/dp/B07ZFCTG82/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=power+station+fitness&qid=1606513070&sr=8-14 Btw every since I started doing chin ups 3 times a week I notice that my upper lats are…

Waist size is a good indicator, waist to height ratio or waist to hip ratio. I have a 32.5" waist at a bmi of 24.1, and that's just me doing chin ups and push ups at home for the past two months.

Ok so 3 days a week of chin ups is good? And what about the rest between sets? Right now i'm resting 3 minutes, does it matter at all? I notice that when I increase my rest time to 4-5 minutes I can perform more reps. Didn't know that training to failure was not optimal for strength, it is noted. And because of the pull up…
-
Slow reps, doing full range of motion, not using momentum, trying to engage my core. Training to failure on the last set, or the last 2 sets.
-
I'm not that tall myself but I have to do them with my legs raised otherwise my feet will touch the floor. Though it is good for engaging the core.
-
Yeah right now my goal is to do 15 reps for at least 4 sets. I'm doing them full range of motion and try not to swing. I thought maybe that training with a vest would get me there faster. Also I think 3 times a week is a bit too much as I am not making big improvements.

It's making me nervous, but in my area the gyms are closed for another 2-3 months. It's the only somewhat challenging exercise I can for now with the material I have. I think I might get this model it appears to be better :…

So what do you do when you're eating out and there is no nutrition label? What if you buy meals at the grocery store and it has no information on macros? It happens regularly in my case. Almost everyday
-
The problem with calorie counting is when you buy processed foods that have no nutrition information on it, then you are unable to track. Or not as precisely as you should. Also when you make recipes it can be a hassle to calculate portions and macros. But otherwise it's a good tool and it helps me when i'm cutting.

I have to say it is much easier to maintain low body fat now that i'm off anti-depressants. It is doable while on AS but it is much harder I find. I was on them for almost a decade, there were highs and lows. I had binge-eating episodes, there are gone now.

It was written in this book by Frederic Delavier and I asked him personally on youtube, he said it is possible if you train while young. https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/strength-training-anatomy/9780736092265-item.html I first read it when I was 14-15 I always thought it was true.

Not documentaries but I used to watch health and nutrition videos about veganism. I watched mostly Dr.McDougall, Michael Greger and other “experts” on the subject. While they sounded convincing, I don't see how I could apply all of that in my life. I have food intolerance to legumes, nuts, seeds and soy products. I would…

My sister is morbidly obese, has been that way for most of her life and will probably stay that way. I don't think she lacks "discipline" or whatever that was stated here. She went to school for a very long time, got a good solid job. Wakes up every morning and rarely miss a day of work. I think it's a case of people being…

It's google stats, but it may be closer to 18% among the younger generation.

There may be an “addiction” to foods that have a combination of sugar, fat and salt. But you rarely eat only carbs. So I don't know if it's a carb addiction or just foods that are calorically dense.
-
I would say that is quite impressive compared to what I see on a regular basis in the gym. I'm talking for the female lifters.
-
To not lose muscle mass you need to do it slowly and continue to lift heavy, if not heavier than you used to.
-
Measure your waist, what does it say?
-
East Asian countries have a real culture of fat shaming, yet obesity rates are very low. I don't agree with the premise that fat shaming leads to more obesity problem.
-
You're rejected the same way short men are rejected for something they can't control. Also i'm curious how much you lift, either you are unusually strong or the men are really weak.
-
The funny thing with women who only date men over 6ft. A quick Google search tells you that only 15% of men in the US are over 6ft. That means 85% of men are written off 🤣. That's quite something.

It's definitely not "easy" to consume 2.2g/kg of protein without supplementing. In my case that's 160g, I would have to eat way more animal products. I would have to go out of my way to do that and it would be a day-to-day worry. Assuming I don't supplement.

I did an experiment where I showered one week without soap, mind you I wasn't working that week. Turned out nothing changed as far as body odors. That's because just washing with water removes 80% of the bacteria. I still used deodorants because I thought that was important. It may be off topic but just wanted to throw…

I'm on a rush in the morning so I have a milkshake of 500ml of 2% milk with ripe bananas and maple syrup. I also eat oatmeal later on that I cook with milk. And yes I hear you on that one, just one cup of milk has 30% of the recommended intake of calcium. I drink almost one liter so it's a lot. I researched magnesium…

Whole wheat bread does wonder for me. I eat a lot of oatmeal these days, and I found that foods that are very high in fiber like berries make the problem worse. Instead I have ripe bananas and dates.
-
I do all of those things but it seems I have food sensitivities particularly to dairy and dark chocolate, when I eat too much chocolate the same thing happens. I didn't think it was gross but i've rarely seen topic like this, it's good to know. I will look into magnesium, I don't know if i'm getting enough of that nutrient.
-
I'm intolerant to both beans and nuts, but I will try to compensate by eating more fiber. I'm already eating close to 30g a day. If it doesn't work I will have no choice but to cut dairy, it sucks because it's a convenient source of protein.

I lost 50lbs eating literal junk, and had no problem maintaining after that. I found the leaner I got the less cravings I got. This is in part what convinced me of the validity of CICO.
-
I meant that I go by feel and I adjust my diet according to what I see in the mirror, how much I weigh and the different body measurements. Calorie counting for me is too bothersome, what do you do if you eat out and there is no nutrition label or nothing?

If education was the solution we wouldn't see so many people who have been in the education system for 20 years being overweight and obese. I get tired of people who always point out education. It's 2020, you can educate yourself on the internet, or go to public libraries to borrow books, it's free.
