I'd recommend a push, pull, legs, rest routine with an emphasis on compound movements. Compound movements are movements that use multiple muscle groups, as opposed to isolation movements. You just need to get leaner. I'd recommend going hard on all compounds, assuming access to equipment. Squats, deads, OHP, rows, dips, pullups, bench, etc. Really push yourself for that extra rep. Get to a new level of intensity.

I feel like a lot of trainers do borderline nonsensical routines to make clients feel like "I'd have never done this routine without them, I guess it's good they're involved!". Almost as if doing the basics with good form isn't unique enough.
