Counting calories really is a game changer. I'm doing intermittent fasting, but once I started counting calories, I really started losing weight. I was eating WAY too much! I'm not being militant though, perfection is the enemy.

If it makes you feel more at ease, I am keeping to an about 1300 calorie goal every day (although the app wants me on 1200), exercising and drinking water :) I'm not starving myself, I seem to tend to lose weight like this. Thank you for the reply :)

My mini-goal is a weekly one. I want to lose 1.4 kg a week. Thus far I'm winning! I've hit it two weeks in a row.

The reason you're splurging is because you're cutting too drastically. Try a little snack once a day, it can be two blocks of chocolate and you won't feel the need to binge. That's what I do.
