Remember, you asked for it! I don't have any selfies, but this is what I wore to my singing lesson today...Oh, God...I'm going to regret this.....

In my last job (supervisor), one particular employee would race in every morning 5 minutes before his shift was due to start, go in the men's room, drop a huge bomb, try to flush and about half the time it wouldn't. Sometimes he would tell me, sometimes he wouldn't. Either way, eventually I had to deal with it.

Sadly, I am dog-less for the 1st time in many, many years. This is Honey, who came to my Vet clinic as a very sick puppy, and ended up living with me for 15 years.

Snow I can take (I lived in Denver for a couple of years and ran every day; I loved running in the snow.) Rain......no way.

MFP gave me 1500 but I had to reduce it to 1200 to lose any weight.

All of you are too darn pretty! No way I'm posting a picture here!

You'd be proud of me today......I drove the BMW, didn't cut anyone off, tailgate, flash my lights, or park over the lines. Now, if I could only find that pesky turn signal lever......

493. I should be at my goal by now, but still trying!

I love my air fryer. Makes great barbequed chicken with much reduced fat. Also great air fries, sweet potato fries, roasted cauliflower, and onion rings. Super for reheating pizza when your SO insists on bringing it home.

Some days I just have coffee for breakfast, then combine breakfast and lunch into brunch, have a protein shake in the afternoon, exercise at dinnertime to kill my appetite somewhat, and try to eat just a small dinner. What kills me is the late evening cravings.

Crunchy peanut butter. There is no substitute.

Thank you! My pain started as Sciatica in my left thigh only. My 1st MRI showed a C5 disc and 4 Lumbar discs. The surgeon did the cervical disc 1st and that one hurt the worst. This was my 1st experience with Oxycodone and I almost became addicted. Every waking moment concerned making sure I didn't run out. Thankfully, I…

At age 30 when I realized I hated my job (HR) and decided to go back to college to become a Veterinarian. Had to do 2 more years of undergrad to get a BS in Biology and then 4 years of Vet College, and I had to pay my own way this time.

You're looking great!!! Plateaus are normal, it's your fat cells fighting back!! You have to fight them harder. Add some more walking, every day if possible. Drink more water. Cut alcohol consumption. Log everything. My weight chart looks like a seismograph.

I can't resist getting on the scales every morning, but you might consider weighing less often.

I have been a veggie in years past and I think it was easier to lose weight then, but that was when I was 30ish and running 5 miles a day, so who really knows? Now I do eat some meat, eggs, poultry, and fish and drink a lot of 1% milk.

You're doing fine. What kills me is when I diet and exercise and the friggin scale goes UP, like it did this morning. I know it's just fluctuations and electronic scale error, but I NEED that positive reinforcement, even if it's just 1/10 of a pound.

WOW!!! That's awesome!!! I'm not even hitting 5000 yet, and it's taken me 2 months of evening walking to get there. In my defense, I'm 68, blew out 5 discs 2 years ago, and had 3 spinal surgeries last year. For the 1st month, every step was agony due to sciatic nerve impingement, but that's getting better now. My biggest…

Ditto on the air fryer. Amazing how good chicken is made in it, and how much oil comes out and goes into the trash. Makes great roasted cauliflower, french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a great pizza re-heater as well.

492 days. Down 38 pounds, with 20 more to go. Should have been there eons ago, but the November to January holidays kill me, and I had 3 spinal surgeries last year that made me unable to do anything until about 3 months ago.

My home gym (set of dumbells, ancient Alpha One machine, stairclimber that I only use when the weather is nasty) because I can use it how and when I like, and I can crank up the music. Walking outdoors in the evening.
-
But, I drive a BMW! o:)
-
What experience did you have getting your health insurance to pay for the surgery? I'm down 38 pounds, with 20 more to go, and since I'm in my late 60s, I don't think my loose skin on my belly is going to go away on its own.
-
When I was in my 30s, I ran every day, rain, snow, hot, or cold. Now that I'm much, much older, I walk, but not when it's raining. Those days, I make myself get on the stairclimber. God, I hate that thing.

Hoping all goes perfectly! And I'm jealous. :p

Hi! Please add me. I'm 68, just coming off of 3 spinal surgeries for herniated discs, and I want to lose 20 more pounds (down 38 from 3 years ago). Julia
