Have you had bloods done recently? Maybe your iron or vit D levels are low or maybe your hormones are off? It's always a good idea to rule out the physical causes as these are easy to treat. I'm not a very sporty person and working out rarely makes me happy. For me the solution that worked well in the past was changing…

I'm crazy about sweets, many times I'd eat nothing but sweets during the day. I can live on sugar and not miss meat, veggies or carbs. Yet, having decided to go on a diet, I have to be more careful what I eat. Obviously sweets are not a great food choice but I manage to squeeze them in (yes, sometimes at the expense of a…

Similar story here! This time around I won't use lockdown (and homeschooling!) as an excuse

I actually gained 12kg between March 2020 and January 2021:( Now, the second time around I'm planning on loosing them and a bit more. Ireland has one of the strictest lockdowns (we can only go out 5km away from home) but I made a promise to myself not to treat it as an excuse.

I'm back again too. I lost almost 20kg in 2013 and managed to maintain for 6 years but then I let myself go a bit then lockdown happened and in January i suddenly (yeah right!) found myself 15kg too heavy. Now, ideally I'd like to lose 20 but I'm at my happiest at 74kg (yes, I know it's a lot for some but that is the top…

It may sound obvious but: 1. find the approach that works for you: people are different so different things work for them. Sure at the end of the day it all comes to calorie deficit but people get there differently, some like small meals very often, some do 3 big meals a day, some do some sort of fasting (5:2, 16:8 or…

So many things account for how much we weigh. If you run the phrase: different women same weigh through google images you'll see how much/little scales tell us. It depends on your built, muscle mass and where you accumulate fat. I've always had thin legs with lovely muscle definition but even at my skinniest my boobs were…

I'd rather go for low fat than sugar free if I was to choose. Weirdly I can't stand the flavour of most artificial sweeteners in food but I don't mind them in drinks.

Why don't you just use 2% milk instead of creamer? Or start with 3.2% and then get lower right down to 0%. I'd hate to be wasting so many calories on coffee  Don't get me wrong, I love coffee and have about 3-4 a day plus an occasional fancy latte for over 100kcal. Here in Europe creamer isn't very popular so I…

Polish sausages are the best!* Also, sauerkraut is amazing and tea should never be spoiled by adding milk to it. Lemon is the only thing you can put in your tea. Vinegar on chips is vile *it may have something to do with the fact that I'm Polish

I'm 42 later this year. It's my second time here. I successfully lost excess weight with mfp over 5 years ago but somehow managed to gain a few kg back last year. Now with 12kg to lose I re-registered and started over a week ago :)

Your calorie intake seems reasonable, I wouldn't worry too much about macros unless you're not losing weight. Some people do diets that favour particular macros over others, but it's totally possible to lose weight just focusing on calorie intake. You have to see what works for you and...persevere  A few years…

How many calories are you on and what are your macro settings? I second the poster above me not to eat back all the workout calories as it's hard to estimate them precisely.
