I think I missed the done step first time. Now when I click steps I dont get the server error and was able to change it from mapmywalk to samsung health. Thanks!

Second walk done for the day and the steps are showing up now in mfp on the homepage however they show as coming from mapmywalk rather than samsung health. Would prefer not to have to have the third app but ar least it's working now.

It looks like some activity is now being pulled in since I installed mapmywalk snd connected it as I see 36 under exercise in mfp and havent manually recorded anything. If I open mapmywalk it does show a short walk I did earlier which its pulled from SH. If I click on steps in mfp I get a server connection error at the…

I havent got it working either. It looks like data goes from mfp to samsung health but not the other way around. For example I do see calories eaten in samsung health. I found a thread online that suggested putting samsung health into developer mode - that didnt work for me. I found an article here which suggested…

A few years ago I signed up to a beginners running class. We did two days with an instructor and one on our own. Pace is absolutely the key - go slow, slower than you think is slow. I tried c25k type programs on my own a few times and didnt complete them 😕 but only because I was going too fast too soon. Pace really is the…

Are you able to walk faster on your walks to get some extra calorie burn? I worked out the calories for my walk with my dog yesterday on MFP and was amazed how few it got me. I think because my pace was slow and it didnt raise my heart rate.

5ft 1 and have a starting goal of losing a stone. I'm counting calories for the first time and am amazed by some of the numbers. Also trying to get back into running with a walk run program

Me too. I put on a stone when I switched jobs -> stress = emotional eating and less exercise. I don’t know if this will work but I’m trying to have planned go to healthy snacks as a first step for when stress or boredom kicks in rather than mindlessly scoffing a chocolate bar. Sometimes I find a peppermint tea is enough to…

I'm also not trying to restrict but rather to make better choices whilst raising my awareness of calories. Today was my first day calculating the calories of what I ate. It's been quite eye opening. It's easy to see how I and others overeat sometimes. I'm hoping I'll think twice now before I mindless eat something.

Salty snacks for me too. I sometimes wonder if the root cause is a deficiency in something but I think I just like chips/crisps

I’m veggie and got advised by a nutritionist I saw a while ago to add 2-3 forms of protein to my salad at lunchtime to fuel me for the day. Her philosophy was you fuel for your day so larger breakfast and lunch then smaller dinner. So if I make a salad I’ll try to load on protein e.g quinoa and lentils or maybe a cheese or…

I’m vegetarian so most of my meals are stacked with beans, chick peas or lentils. A nutritionist once told me at lunchtime to try and get 3 proteins in my salad to fuel my day and then have a lighter dinner.

5ft 1 and 158lbs - hoping to lose about 20. Have never followed a diet plan before. Like @SaraKim17 working out calories in preparation to start has been eye opening for me. With the Coronavirus outbreak I’m now working from home which brings with it some added challenges but I’m hoping I can overcome them and take…
