  • At least a 5k a day with about 7-10 miles walked cumulative daily.
  • Brisket, Steak, Chicken, and pork 😬
  • Ha ha that’s what he said. I’m he 😂
  • Enjoy it. Just share the plate of it with your husband. I do that myself as well with other foods. Evil pancakes. We share a short stack 1 and 1/2 small pancakes a piece. Don’t deprive yourself. Just watch the portion. And I’ll say it now before the no work out police get here. Pay some toll. Workout. Or we do it early and…
  • Welcome to the community. 52 and I make sure to get my 10k daily. Combo of walking jogs or elliptical. Walking is always my fall back when injuries come up.
  • Walked 4 miles in under 60 mins. Nice way to kick off the week.. enjoyed the whole thing pretty much to myself. I saw maybe 2 people todays outing.
  • Yeah the whole to old to do something about it seems to be the prevalent attitude in the US. I am 52. And the college hires that we’ve on boarded over the last few years eat my dust when it comes to be physically fit. Granted when younger you have the luxury of time on your side, but unlike when I was their age we didn’t…
  • Wow… 🙏 s truly.. about to hit 1000 days of logging in a month…

  • Powerbeats pro is my choice for sweaty a s s outdoor and indoor jogs, elliptical, and rowing WOs.. I wear glasses and a head band when I use them. No problem for me with wearing these over the ears. They handle my juiciness well… you can see the imprint of my head band…
  • Walked for 11 months solid before I felt comfortable enough to do a single min of jogging. Comfortable may not be the right word. Apprehension or maybe really best way to describe was being older am I ready to not be able to do what I used to do 25 years back? However 2 years after I decide let’s try it I now at minimum…
  • What is your A1C? 5.7 and below is normal. You stating you are diabetic would give you a starting point how aggressive in regards to diet, medication and yes I know people will say otherwise, but exercise. A small regiment of exercise should be part of you managing your diabetes.
  • How often do you eat it? What is an elevated A1C? Are you pre or full diabetic? Was your fasting glucose under 100 on your last blood work? Anything in moderation is ok, but the fact that the lunch meat aside from the sodium has honey. A1C is calculated over a period and in all likelihood the boars head is only one thing…

  • I have a pair of joggers for every day of the week since they more likely than not will be wet. If I do a 10k its guaranteed I’ll be wet from head to toe literally…. treadmill in 58 degree hotel workout room or outside before 7 @78 degree I’m sweating buckets. I’ve learned to live with it. Only disappointment is there is…
  • I’d recommend to any and all if you have struggled with overall mental and physical health decline over the last 2 1/2 years of lockdown to get into your office if it’s allowed. A few days a week will be a good thing for your state of being IMO. Park farthest spot away from getting into the building and your desk. I am…

  • Just a noob here about to hit 900 days.
  • Waited to long this morning so instead of the usual daily outside jog I did 5.3 miles on the tread. Would have done the 10k but my shoes were swimming so called it good enough….
  • Wake up at 5:30, do some stretching in bed, apply some bio freeze if needed on the rickety sore parts, suit up, usually have a Celsius, shake off all the cob webs and between 6:30-7 I head out for a 3-7 mile jog. I usually decide distance as I walk onto the street.
  • I always make it a point to eat my calories back. It's a fairly decent guesstimate for the most part. Look at it this way. How accurate is your logging? We do what we can, but sometimes we have to guess. I'm closing in on 900 days logged in. So for me it has worked. I'm already at a low enough daily cal intake so don't…
  • My two cents: First off get fitted for the right jogger for your feet and your particulars. Have your width, gait, pronation, stability checked. I rotate my running shoes daily. Pretty much a pair for every day of the week. I’d recommend at least two pairs. I tend to sweat profusely so if any wetness in them they won’t be…
  • Sang along to “I Wanna Be Sedated” while I jogged against a decent wind. I still managed an Avg.143 bpm during the 4 mile run.
  • Been nursing a flared up sciatic nerve over the last 2 weeks. It's slowed me down, but still doing a daily jog. On todays outing I took off late with temps already in the 90s. Decided after just not feeling it to keep it slow and steady. Did a 10k for my longer Wednesday jog @ an Avg. Pace of 10'18"/MI. Today after the 2nd…
  • Have you ever been a runner? If you’ve not done serious running in your younger years then what you are doing is perfect. I’d even recommend for you to pull back and stick to walking. Build up your walking to make your outings a little challenging. I’m making assumptions so excuse me. Being older and never have been a…
  • Glad to see ya back… yeah I’m sticking to morning jogs for the foreseeable future. We are hitting 100-104f consistently… may start going even earlier to avoid the dumb sun band across the forehead
