  • I absolutely hate to exercise. It doesn't energize me. I am a couch potato by nature. That being said, I do try to force myself to swim or ride my stationary bike several times a week. I was doing some Leslie Sansone walk-at-home videos for a while, but I get bored easily, I guess! This might be an indication of my age,…
  • Awesome! Don't you love it when that scale moves downward?
  • @jcavanna2 Please share what your nutritionist tells you - just for comparison. My bariatric dr told me to eat all the lean protein I wanted, and add some veggies. No calorie limit given. The nutritionist at his office told me that I would need to limit my calorie intake to 1000 a day - for life. She told me I would gain…
  • @MommaGemz : I enjoy and appreciate your posts! I can relate to so much. Hubby and I are seniors, so no kiddies in the house, but lots of challenges that come with age. Five days ago, we went back to healthy eating with lots of meal planning. So far, so good. It’s a daily struggle! Keep up the good work!

Dr told me to eat low-fat protein and veggies - that's it. I didn't believe him. Guess he was right! After 7 years of doing things MY way, I'm…
  • Same here. Had RNY gastric bypass surgery 8 years ago. I regained 50 of the 120 lbs I lost. Finally realized that I cannot eat foods other than lean proteins and veggies. My calorie intake needs to stay around 1000. I did not know (presurgery) just how restrictive my food choices would be. That being said, RNY surgery was…
  • This is great advice! "In the meantime, you need to find a way of cutting yourself some slack. Easier said than done, I know. But you said you are breastfeeding your 4 month old, and you have a 2year old as well. I imagine most days you are just doing what you need to to get brought the day. Maybe just give yourself a…
