  • Sorry ***at least 2.5-3.0 CHP I went with something with higher to be safe. Mine has somewhere around 3.75 or 3.85 but I don’t remember. It’s a commercial 1750 from 2018. I also agree that Nordic track ifit is a giant scam, it’s somewhere around 300$ a year or at least last time I looked at the email. I canceled it after…
  • @hanlonsk Another good suggestion is pay attention to motor size. If you are going to be running on it frequently you want a motor with 2.5 to 3.0 CHP, also you need a bigger motor depending on weight as well.
  • :-/ I think until I’m outdoors I get a better watch this is how it goes
  • Oh and my watch doesn’t have the calibrate feature at the end of my run. So I’m just recording my treadmill distance.

  • I am also trying to lose quite a bit of weight, I’ve had 3 kids (10,8,5 now) and I’ve ate myself up to a very unhealthy weight for my height(5’2.5”). Four years ago I was in the same boat as I am right now and I lost 60 pounds, got down to 123lbs. I’ve had a rough couple years. Now I’m back at it again after gaining it all…

  • @katharmonic I just have the Garmin Forerunner 35, nothing crazy. It’s pretty basic, not fancy at all. When I bought it last year, I mainly bought it because I liked having a watch on my wrist. Maybe I’ll invest in something better for running but that won’t be for a while. I’ll have to play with it and Garmin Connect and…

  • @PastorVincent I would think my Garmin watch is off. I’m not using a foot pod. My treadmill is decent, Nordic Track commercial 1750, it’s not the most expensive but it’s a good enough treadmill.
  • Thank you everyone! Happy Mother’s Day! From my Garmin Forerunner(for whatever reason it doesn’t have my distances the same as my treadmill. It’s always about .25 miles less). I don’t know if my treadmill would be more accurate or not so I’m going to go with the lesser amount. 5/1- 3.4 miles 5/3-3.5 miles 5/5-3.4 miles…
  • @janejellyroll I’ve done this a couple of times now and I love this method. Especially as I’m getting older, it’s much safer and makes it more enjoyable. I’ll get to running the whole time soon enough.

  • Hey, I want to tell you, you aren’t alone. I’m back at it as well. Three years ago in Jan I weighed 183(5’2.5” female). I worked my butt off keeping to my MyFitnessPal, running, and incorporated body weight strength training. I lost 60lbs in 6 months! I got down to my ultimate goal weight and was really tone. Then things…
