  • I had a crappy apple yesterday too. It was a granny smith -which I usually love - but this one tasted off to me like it wasn't completely ready or something. I ate half and tossed the rest. I hate wasting food so it really sucks when I have something that just tastes so bad I can't finish it.
  • I've had trouble controlling my cravings. I'll let myself have a small treat but then it leads to more and pretty soon I'm eating anything I can find to satisfy my craving. Any suggestions for problems like this. I'll do good for a few days on a new diet but as soon as I let myself eat one treat it blows up and I've gained…
  • Thank you for posting this. I usually see a drop in pounds the first week and I gained a pound instead. I need to weight my food, not estimate like I've been doing. I ordered a scale and next week is going to be better! Thanks for the post!
  • Yesterday I gained 1.8 pounds and this morning I did not quit like I've done so often in the past. I told myself it is just a small setback and could be water weight gain. I've been very careful this week about counting calories and I decided that if I quit I would be quitting for all the wrong reasons. So here I am, still…
  • I've had my picture in the paper recently - the spare tire caught my attention - and I'm sure everyone else's who looked at it. I don't want to see that ever again!
  • When my knees and feet hurt and I hadn't done anything to make them hurt. That is when I realized my weight was to blame and if I wanted to get rid of the pain I needed to lose weight and start exercising. I was also getting tired of trying to find something for lunch that was appealing because I was so used to eating fast…
  • Tonight's dinner is French Dip Sandwiches with grilled zucchini and roasted potato wedges. I do the London Broil in the crock pot and then assemble the sandwiches when I get home, top with provolone, and bake until melted and toasty.
  • Thanks for the reminder to check measurements too! I haven't done that yet and I need my starting numbers so I know what I've lost!
  • I just started MFP and I'm planning on eating a Subway sub for lunch daily. For me it is cost effective and I suppose a better option than fast food. I hate packing my lunch because I'm usually uninspired at 6 in the morning so I end up eating the most convenient thing I can find and that is usually fast food. Today I…

  • Hi all, I'm joining in - hope it's not too late. I'm 41 and 225lbs. I'm finding it harder to stick to my goals than I have in the past and I'm hoping maybe this group will be the support and encouragement I need to stay motivated. I've tried Keto, MFP, WW, high fiber, very low calorie, eliminating foods, and I've just not…
