@Carrielundgren Be encouraged as I too was dealing with knee and ankle pain and it caused me to stop going to the gym. I had stopped weighing myself and didn’t know I had gained weight. I lost some weight and it has taken the pressure off and now the pain is gone! 🙌😃 I hope this to be true for you too!

@ScienceofTeaching Do you do any gardening in the spring?

Earlier in the week, I hit that 200 lb mark I’ve been working towards. It’s normal to teeter-totter on the scale. Yay! I did a lite workout today. I’m starting to feel better. I’m thinking about Springtime since I walked by the fake floral section at JoAnn’s the other day. The reality is, it’s only 17* by me. 🤣 What will…

@thetiniestlion Do ya think you can share your recipe for that chic pea cake? No rush… It looks good and sounds interesting!

Yay! I went to the gym for a quick workout. This weekend is busy but I think I’ll go back on Monday. Once you get into the rhythm of going it’ll be easier. I always feel better after. 😊

I made Black Bean Chilli with Quinoa. I added some corn and vegan cheese with a dollop of “Follow Your Heart” Sour Cream. (dairy-free) It was delicious!

@Walela617 It has been very cold n’ windy in Massachusetts! 😉 I made a big pot of black bean chilli with quinoa last week. I ate some and froze some for later. Wintertime is great for making soups and stews. The options for healthy ingredient choices are numerous. I’ve used barley and farro, etc. It’s convenient for busy…

I wanted to post earlier today for weigh in Wed. but the day was busy. I was so glad to see I’m still moving in the right direction! I think my goal weight may be unrealistic unless I start going back to the gym in addition to food tracking. In Dec. I was 206.6lbs which was my wake up call, so I’m progressing along! I’m…

Hi Cathleen! I recently made 3 dishes at the same time so there were more choices. I’ve also been prepping ahead to save time. In other words, if I’m chopping up a little onion or peppers I’ll go ahead and chop all of it and put it in zip lock bags to add to other stuff for the following days. Do you like chic peas? I’ve…

Hey my fitness pals! Who doesn’t want more supportive friends! 😉 Count me in! The new year is almost here…we can do anything, one day at a time, with healthy choices! Amen to that! 😃

I’m down 4lbs already! 🎊Yay~ I hadn’t weighed myself in a while and when I did, I was 206.4lbs! That’s what got me to look at MFP again. Anyone, have the premium account? Is it worth it? Back in Sept. 21’ I hit my lowest weight since pre-kids of 185.8lbs and my goal was 175lbs. Currently, I’m at 202.8. I’m determined to…

One day at a time! I weigh myself everyday- it keeps me on track. Even small increments add up as long as it’s moving in the right direction. Another strategy I use to keep me focused is to go to a department store just to try on clothes. I get so frustrated, but then power trip myself by asking, “what am I going to do…

This is great! I’m in. Thanks @Walela617

@SurferGirl1982 I recently heard chia seeds lower your blood pressure. I didn’t know that and thought I’d share.

How satisfied are you after you eat your meals? I used to never eat breakfast and decided to give it a try. I use portion control and pretty much have oatmeal for breakfast. I'll add fresh fruit and different add ins to change it up. I practice intermittent fasting or have a lite lunch and then a nutritious dinner. Or visa…
