I love the Lil Buff protein cakes - especially their vegan line. I also love their vanilla icing. It’s not a necessarily low cal treat but I make sure to fit it in frequently. Also marigold cookie dough protein bars are my fav for a quick snack. I’m not kept but they are low carb compared to most protein bars if that’s…

You did it before, you can do it again. Try and identify what were the pain points that maybe caused it to be unsustainable. It’s a life long journey so try to learn and implement tools for lasting success. Maintenance is definitely the hardest part IMO

Hey Friends. I’m Lauren from NJ. I’ve had quite the rocky relationship with MFP in the past so giving it another go, hoping to not let it take over my life again lol 🤞🏻 Macro tracking has been the best way for me to see great results so I’m back with the goal of losing fat + maintaining a continued awareness of portion…

The weather is slowly starting to warm up here. It’s when I get to wear outfits that make me happy and smile. 60 degrees in the city called for a little budding flower fit :)

Not sure the calorie range you’re looking for, but I swear by Lil Buff Cakes. I’m not vegan, but their vegan line tastes better than the normal one IMO. They hit the spot and have decent amount of protein and fiber too! :)

Wow that’s incredible!! Congrats on your achievement and finding a way to enjoy the process :)

Thank you! I eat a lot of eggs, avocados, chicken breasts and thighs, rice, beans and veggies. I also LOVE Lil Buff vegan protein cakes and their frosting. I have one every night and they really help satisfy my sweet tooth. Definitely recommend them.

Thank you so much! That sounds like a great plan for you. I feel the same way as you. I’m still slowly increasing calories to see where my maintenance is but I agree with you that despite the break, it will still take up mental real estate because I still want to be conscious of the progress I’ve made/want to make. When I…

Thank you. Haha and that’s very possible. I started at like 150 back then and got down to 118 and it was horribly unsustainably. This time I started at the highest I’ve ever been which was rough, but adjusting my “goal weight” to be closer to 120-125.

I was the same way! One “bad” weekend and I would throw in the towel. Approaching this as something you will sustain for long term helps shift the perspective and those “bad days” are merely blips in the journey. I think that’s a great idea for you. Taking diet breaks are really helpful, not only for giving yourself a…

SO annoyed with work. Been having terrible anxiety thinking about a project I’m working on that has impossible deadlines. The CEOs are painfully incompetent and I feel like I’m the only one with concern so then it makes me feel like I’m the crazy one. The fashion industry is so f*cked! So glad I started working out again…

I start each day with 20-30 min on the spin bike and then weights in the evening. This week starts 4x a week strength training alternating upper and lower body. Today was upper: Row Bench press Lateral raise DB pullover Bicep curl Tricep extension DB shrug

Yes! would love more friends :)

I know exactly how you feel. I keep repeating the last thing you said. I have SO much work to do but I keep reminding myself I did it before, I can do it again. Still feels tough to stomach at times knowing I have this huge mountain to climb - I made it to the top before, yet I pushed myself off :(!

@mita271 Thank you so much for your kind words - they really mean more than you know! We do deserve better and we already took the hardest step which was recognizing where changes may be needed. You rock too!

Ugh yes! 4 years ago I lost 30 pounds (went from 150 to 120). I was this beacon of health. But it got so obsessive and I crashed hard. Over the past 2 years, I put on 50 pounds (now 170) and have still been working through feelings of just utter shame and disappointment. I'm only 2 weeks back in the saddle, but I know I…

Hey there! Nutley, NJ
-
Hey! I'll add you. I'm here to lose the weight I gained (again) so I know the feeling!
-
Got it! Thank you so much for addressing this and explaining it further. And appreciate your last statement. It helps more than you know!
-
Thank you so much for sharing this. I hope to get to that point as well. I'm so glad you were able to focus on how you feel and look. That's definitely more important than any number on the scale :)
-
Yes! For the time being, I've felt fine on the 1200 calories, but in the grand scheme, I do not want to destroy my metabolism and having issues down the line where my maintenance calories are so low that I'll feel like I'm always "dieting". Thank you for that suggestion, I will check that our for sure. Good luck in your…

That's definitely a great suggestion and will look into that. Thank you so much!

Definitely 2 cents+ worth of feedback here. I hear what you're saying and it logically makes sense. I hope this time around I can have a greater sense of appreciation for finding that balancing act, because it is crucial. Thank you so, so much!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your feedback.
