THANK YOU!!! Now I want to make them again. Coconut cream and banana cream would go over well at the potluck. Not sure when the next potluck will be- will see what fruit is in season then. Pumpkin would be good around Thanksgiving.

congratulations Tracey.

Lanette- They didn't stay at my house very long- Filled them this morning and put them in the freezer for an hour then took them right to church. Came home with an empty container(and I took all but 4 of the 6 dozen with me) I do have some of the filling left but not very much. Now I keep thinking of other flavors to try…

Only one myself (I think they call them Space A now...) - From the UK, RAFB Mildenhall, into Dover, Delaware, then was flying commercial on to San Antonio from there. I was 19 (so it had to be late 1979 or early 1980). It was a C-130 cargo plane, and they were hauling human remains, unfortunately, a young airman, wife and…

Had sweet tea when I lived in Mobile, not a fan of it but then again, I don't drink sodas because I don't like sweet drinks(I do have a root beer about once a year , during the summer in a root beer float) I have had sweet tea since then but not very often and not something I really like. once in a while it is good but…

we took a MAC flight out of Travis AFB to Hawaii. That was the loudest but smoothest flight I have ever been in. Had boxed lunch- fried chicken that I don't remember what we paid for but was the only part of the flight we paid for. Had to take commercial flight home because his leave was over and couldn't get a flight…

Lisa- I would love the recipe. Thanks. Have never made it but enjoy eating it once in a while and with all the herbs in the garden and my spice rack all organized, would be fun to try out a few.

Up early to finish the cream puffs for the potluck at church today. 6 dozen filled and in the freezer to chill for an hour before heading to church. First potluck I have been to in a long time Four flavors to choose from- lemon, mango, pineapple and chocolate. Also made a gallon of unsweetened iced tea. Usually they have…

I wish we could find a trustworthy live in person for MIL that wouldn't charge a ton. That would solve a lot of the issues. We did hire one lady. MIL spent the first day, not letting the lady do anything. Just talked *kitten* about dh and I. When the lady didn't agree with the bs she was saying, she made the second day…

That is crazy that your mom thinks paying you $300 a month to live with you again would be ok.Your sanity is worth sooo much more. I told a friend that if MIL were to move in here(it would never happen- dh couldn't deal with 24/7 with her, I would move OUT.

I love that- I need to print it out and keep in on my desk as a constant reminder. Better than my usual, lower my expectations constantly so I am not disappointed all the time.

I have always liked wearing dresses. Stopped wearing them for a while but have a lot now that I am going to the church I am. Very conservative. Women only wear dresses to church. I think I have seen two women from the whole church ever wear pants to any of the services. I like dresses but they have to be comfy. I wear my…

Barbara- thank you for daily taking the time and commenting on all the posts. I know it has to take a lot of time. I appreciate it. Nice to see the responses. THANK YOU

We are not planning on selling MIL's house unless we have to- The plan is to keep the house and rent it to son and then it will end up being his when the time is right. Not going to just give it to him outright right now but won't be charging him going rate for rent around here either. He lives at home still because the…

Michele- Falling Prices and 5Below are owned by the same company here. Went over and walked/jogged with my MIL's dog. A bit chilly at first but I warmed up. Went and did some shopping for her and us,more for her(we don't need anything) Came home and I had left over war won ton soup(added a ton of ginger and garlic to it)…

Here, we have a place called Falling Prices that does the bins and changes prices each day of the week- They are an hour away for the closest one so we don't go often. Usually go on Wed $4day, Thursday is $2 I think. Friday is $1 and Sat. is .50. Such a mess and crazy on Sat. We went once and that was enough. Lots of…

Walked the wetlands this morning for over an hour then walked with friend for another hour + this evening. Finishing at almost 9 1/2 miles. Hopefully I will sleep good- should be asleep now. Dh's alarm will be going off in 30 min so may be a while before I get to sleep. He has to be at work at midnight. Alarm set to go off…

sounds like a fun few days ahead for you.

The problem will be when MIL gets to the new place and sees that what DH has been telling her about the place are not lies. She thinks she will be able to be totally catered to, she will have all the meals she wants or be able to cook any more, it isn't going to cost $5000 a month, that she can bring her dog and that there…

Lanette- I think that is what I need!! Went to walk the wetlands-first time in over a month. Was disappointed that there were so few birds out. No swans, only one egret, very few geese, only a couple ducks. No baby anything. Was cool and breezy(glad I had my little jacket on that had a hood. Did get 4 1/2 miles done there.…

But, if she gets kicked out/wants to leave, that means we will be back to how it is now, with dh over there all the time. He won't stand his ground and tell her no once in a while. Unless they actually kick her out, she can stay once we put her there.

Set my alarm for 7:30 for every day to start walking again. After setting it I got a call fro Ezie's mom- grandma will be taking her to swimming lessons then bring her here at 1 but leave her until 5(instead of 4) each day for the next two weeks. I could have walked later but I was awake so went out and walked the…

The picture of the cat with Miles makes me think the cat is thinking that is it's new litter box. Or, maybe just a new box to sleep in-hopefully that. (I just know our cats ;) )

got on the scale this morning and it was not good. Back just over 150 again with my goal still 127-129. I have not been walking since Ezzie started summer vacation a month ago-was walking over 5 miles at least 4 days a week before picking her up from school. I was getting frustrated that the scale wasn't moving with all…

Did you go in yet for your 6 month- full body scan??

Speaking up and saying no, or making my wishes known on any level is something brand new for me. If Ezie's mom hadn't brought it up yesterday of what her mom wants her to do, I would have still been waiting to tell her about what my plans were, pushing it off another month. I have either taught preschool or did daycare for…

We will see how things work out with Ezie's mom. She is the mom but her mom acts like the boss of everyone. If they don't want to do two days a week, and the days I pick, then that is ok. DH has distanced himself even more from step grandpa. The mental health issues are not just one sided like we thought. He was diagnosed…

looks like I might be getting my semi-retired a bit sooner than expected. I have been wanting to talk to Ezie's mom about cutting back to two days a week, starting the first of Oct. She has been running late each day this week and just dropping and running. Today she came in and said that beings her step dad isn't working…
