Still... obesity (in any form) is still obese. I lost weight and only two inches around the waist (which was REALLY effing discouraging). Yeah, it's still late (insert clown emoji) on day 13. And no, I will admit I didn't becuase it was a new doctor and he made me feel lowkey uncomfortable. Will not be going to that dude…

I didn't spend all day with her; the apple watch tracks distance/calories burned. Yes, they're highly inaccurate (and hers is probably off as someone mentioned) but it seems like a weirdly huge gap between me and her. - I don't really know what defines a "short" torso or where technically one's torso ends, but I can say…

It might've been said before, but what about smaller weight losses? It was kind of hard to read (and that's my fault because I'm tired) but TDEE is 10-15% lower than the one a calculator will spit out at you? "Smaller" means 15lbs originally lost, but now I'm unfortunately around 12/13ish. The doctor's scale said I was…

I also don't understand why my stupid body won't burn calories. I have a friend who's the same height as me and only like 20 pounds heavier than me and can burn like 900 "move" calories on the apple watch just by existing, doing her everyday activities, and going for a ~3-4 mile run. I went for a 3.43 mile run at a 12'29"…

You incorrect; I am abdominally obese. As I mentioned in my original post, I am Asian, and for some reason, we are abdominally obese at smaller measurements than other people. This link from Harvard Medical states that 80 cm is where one becomes abdominally obese. This is 31.4961 inches according to Google's conversion. My…

Wear a mask when you're with someone you don't live with. Period. I don't wear them in the car with my family, but I do wear them into restaurants. And I don't take them off until the food arrives at the table AND the server left.

The Mayo Clinic says "You can calculate your maximum heart rate by subtracting your age from 220. For example, if you're 45 years old, subtract 45 from 220 to get a maximum heart rate of 175. This is the average maximum number of times your heart should beat per minute during exercise." It also says "It's important to note…

Since about April 6, but not on a super consistent schedule. However, I DO remember one day stepping on the scale during the front end of my period, thinking "jfc this number's probably gonna be higher" and then it came out lower. And then I went "wtf... but okay? Yay!" - I'm trying to strength train but I'm having to rely…

I am literally abdominally obese as defined by the world health organization. I make sure to eat at least 1,200 calories per day. And finally, I've never touched a laxative or made myself throw up. Therefore, I do not have an eating disorder. - I've made sure to measure my waist at the exact same point every time I do it.…

I don't have any food allergies/reactions, though? @Mithridites and @springlering62 - I know there are some things that're absolutely unreasonable to ask of an everyday person. Some things just don't look real and celebrities get called on it ("[random number] of photoshop fails"). HOWEVER, it IS possible to have a thin…

Wish this could be changed lol. I usually add up my fruits of the day and subtract from total sugar and just assume the rest is added.

At the bottom of the article the author suggests "Instead, focus on body measurements" I gained a half inch around my waist.

I know spot reduction's a myth. If it wasn't, I'd have abs since I've been doing abs stuff for months.

Tomorrow is also my friend's birthday and they're expecting me to eat a slice of ~500 calorie ice cream cake. Her mom is also buying us all starbucks so I have to get a drink from there. AND I think we're going out to eat and I don't know what I'm gonna do tomorrow.

I don't know, did you bring enough for the whole class?

I work 8 hour shifts and only get ONE lunch break, so on days my shifts are during the time of two meals I'll take a nice protein shake and mix it with coffee. It's tasty AF and keeps me full.

Do you have a fitness tracker? Apple watch can select "other" or "strength train" if you don't see one you like. If not try a calculator.
-
But I’ve been doing these ab exercises since at least March, I want to say even since February (and I think I remember doing them late February on vacation, but only 25 crunches and 15 leg lifts). I haven’t seen any results. My stomach is just as giant as it was the day before or even the month before. I know because I’m…

The Navy calculators are now giving me around 20%- three different calculators, two giving me 20 and one giving me 20.3.

Kinda broke right now (or well, planning to be broke in August because of college), but I have a friend who's thinking of getting a PT license. She's given me some ab exercises to do, which I do. I also ran my measurements today and I'm 27-28% body fat. Great... But strength training hasn't been working.

I'm entering/correcting literally everything I eat. Unless large companies are literally breaking the law, then everything is correct. But again, I'm still not losing weight. It's been a month (and yes I'll bring this up with my doctor at the next appointment)
-
Hmm, yeah. It might be stress since I'm preparing to go away to college soon. I don't have a weight trending app because I hate stepping on the scale, I'm always afraid I'm going to gain another pound. I assume it was water since yesterday I was back to 121. But on the downside, I haven't lost any weight in a month. I have…

I’m not trying to troll here, I’m genuinely curious but WHERE do you find the confidence to show off like this?? In real life, in public, I’m literally terrified of first impressions because I don’t want people to think either “ew she’s got a big stomach” or “is she a pregnant teenager?” 18, Asian, female (ofc), 5’5.5, and…

^^ and if so, how do I reduce that (non-surgically)

Is it possible that some of this weight is loose skin from weight loss? In January I was somewhere like 136, so I lost about 14 pounds.
-
How much going up is normal? and Welcome to the club haha. Do you happen to know how much water our bodies retain?
-
Also, does this tiktok have any truth? If I can get a smaller waist by lying on the ground for 5mins/day... I'm all in.

Technically we 18 year olds are still teenagers (eighTeen). Following this thread as I'm looking for advice on this too, but OP you aren't alone

Yeah, the main issue is getting the motivation to do an actual warm-up. My body doesn't accept walking in place and my muscles will be just as tight as before. Even when I walk up the hill after getting the mail (HR = 140ish bpm) and instantly go stretch, I am not as flexible as I am post-run (like a 20 minute run on a 10…
