Wow! Now that was a really useful rabbit trail ya'll just sent me on.
-
Congrats! That is huge!

Size medium leggings. Woot! I wear them under exercise skirts so no one but me will notice, but I won't be having to hike them back up every minute or two now.

Strength day. Doing the beginner bodyweight workout from Nerd Fitness.

I had one years ago. Pain so bad I was puking. Went into the ER. They thought my appendix had ruptured, but when they went in it was the cyst that had ruptured. Got my appendix out anyhow since they were there. lol

Just say, "Thanks." And immediately ask about their job, hobby, family, or basically anything that you have in common. A one word response is polite, but doesn't extend the conversation.

I pulled my size medium North Face jacket down from the top shelf of my closet and it fits! I tried it on a year ago and I could barely stuff my arms in it and it wasn't even close to being able to zip it. I had seriously considered donating it because I didn't think I would ever get back down to a medium. It looks amazing…

I got my first gray hairs at 23. I decided to stop dying this summer since I was coming up on 40. I don't hate the color. It isn't bad, but I'm honestly struggling with the change in texture. It is frizzier now than ever. I'm trying to decide if I want to go back to dying or get a keratin treatment. I'm so torn about this.…

Hiked 12 miles with the baby. It was a personal best for me and it was gloriously quiet!

Okay. I readjusted for higher base calories and will eat at least 50% of my exercise calories. Then I'll see where I'm at in a few weeks and make changes as needed. Thanks so much!

My workouts are literally just taking two long brisk walks a day.

The TDEE calculator said my cutting calories would be until 1400 so I added 300 to account for the breastfeeding. That's where I came up with the numbers. But yeah, I was assuming sedentary/lightly active.

All good feedback! I've lost baby weight several times, but I've never done a challenge like this before, so I've always planned as if I'm not getting exercise at all. Since I'm just walking twice a day I assumed it wouldn't make that much of a difference! Currently 170 10 pounds until back in healthy BMI range. 20(ish) to…

Measurements! Take your measurements once a month and that will help you see progress. Also, and this might not work for everyone, but I weigh myself every day. Fitbit tells me my weekly average weight and that is the only thing I pay attention to. My daily weight goes up and down by several pounds, but my weekly weight…

That's fantastic. Way to go!

Maybe instead of picking a number on the scale try a piece of clothing you feel beautiful in. Wear it regularly and if you notice you gain a little and it doesn't lay as nicely then adjust accordingly? Just a thought!

Diet freezer meals for when time is short and will power is low. So basically every day right now...

Hi there, welcome aboard! I'm a 39 year old wife and mom of 7. I have used MFP off and on for a dozen years to get myself back on track and it is fantastic. These board are full of lots of great information. Best wishes on your health and fitness adventures!

Well, having this thread pop up is super helpful. I ordered a caliper and it will be arriving today!

Right there with you! I was back down to my college weight before having my soon to be one year old. Sigh. Oh well, back at it!

I hate to say it, but every interaction I've ever had with dieticians has been like that. And 2/3 of the ones I saw were morbidly obese. Getting bossed around when I was at a healthy weight by someone pushing carbs and low-fat alternatives was kind of maddening. But I was also pregnant and hormonal so I just shut my mouth…

That is a great accomplishment already! Hang in there. Plateaus happen to everyone, but you'll get get there!

I'm on day 5. So how's it going everyone? Thus far I'm really happy. Lots of extra endorphins and finally knocking out a book that has been on my to-do list for years. Just needed a challenge to get it done I guess!

Right now my mini goal is completing Amazing! How far are you in the planning process? Do you know which route you want to take? The Camino and the AT are both on my dream list, but I'm not sure if I'll ever have the time/money to prioritize it. I'm looking at AT section hike options and maybe a Chartres pilgrimage as more…

I generally can't lose weight without my supply tanking until baby is close to a year old and getting a good amount of calories from table food. My goal is 1600 calories right now and I'm dropping, but I'm also working out a lot. This is my 7th baby and he will be 1 year next week! I know a few women who say the pounds…

I'm all about walking for stress relief. No music, no audio books, no podcasts. Just quiet time to process.

Rewatching Gilmore Girls, with my three youngest kids, the eldest of these was born in 2016 when the revival hit. My oldest was born during season 7 of the original. I feel old, and young at the same time.

Late, but I'm on day 3 now. I love the start over on day one if you miss anything. Now that's motivation to stay on track!
