Jergen's Natural Glow and a tinted sunscreen for my face. I know rationally that having a little color isn't going to make spring come any faster, but here I am trying anyhow.

I can button my gray wool cardigan from Banana Republic ($1.50 thrift store find) again. I love this thing. It is so cozy and it goes with everything I own. I'll love it more when it is a little looser, but it looks perfectly respectable as is.

3 different antibiotics, ear drops, and epson salt. Calgon take me away!

Just a walk. I'm down with a bad cold so even that felt like an accomplishment. Here's hoping the fresh air and sunshine gives my immune system a boost.

Always this.

P&P (1995), Emma (2009), Terra Nova (2011). I love Jane Austen, but I also have a little boy who loves dinosaurs so I found something we both like.

This is smart. It's so funny though. If it isn't scammers looking for money, why bother looking for a date here? The cost vs reward doesn't make sense here. I haven't been single in 20 years, but bars still exist, right?

Watching Modern Times with my sick kiddos. Charlie Chaplin for the win.

Cough medicine, Tylenol, ibuprofen, a warm mist humidifier, ginger ale, and crackers. I hate cold and flu season. We had 4 days where everyone was healthy in the past month. I need to move south. I want to be able to walk outdoors all year. I need to go to the beach.

March Start Weight: 163.6 March Goal Weight: 159 Ultimate Goal Weight: 140 March 1: 163.6 March 8: 159.6 March 15: March 22: April 1: I should have known it was water weight holding things up! That said, I'm not changing my goal. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll stop seeing the 160s no matter where I am in my cycleβ¦

Now I have no bread My plate is full of veggies No room for dessert

I just finished it before Lent started, but Tutankhamun the miniseries with Max Irons was really fun. I has just finished reading The Writing of the Gods, so the timing made it more enjoyable.

Nothing weighs me down! Except this giant barbell Come on, one more rep!

All of the above covers it, truly. Hang in there! I'm 42 and started having hot flashes the week of my 40th birthday. I'm also hypothyroid. Eating at a deficit is the key. The biggest thing, in my experience, has been trying to lose too quickly and then feeling "done". I'm never going to be done. If I don't track, I gain.

I can fit back into 80% of my wardrobe. It will look better in another 5-10 pounds, but I'm no longer stuck wearing stuff I hate. In an ideal world, I would dress nicely at any size, but my budget doesn't exist in an ideal world.

There are some Leslie Sansone walking videos on YouTube. Those are my go-to cardio when I don't want to wake anyone and it is too cold/wet to walk outdoors.

Body measurements are great, but I would keep up with using the scale as well. Keeping track of your workouts and writing down how much you are lifting and how many reps/sets you are doing is really helpful too. Anything that helps give you a fuller picture is a win.

20 minute cardio warmup followed by upper body strength training. I used to do alternate strength and cardio days, but I hurt my back/neck 18 months ago. Since then I've been keeping upper and lower body separate so I can build on the exercises I started in PT. It feels so slow and clunky, but I'm making progress and notβ¦

Scrolling the forum and trying to get out the urge to talk about diet and exercise online so as not to annoy people IRL. I workout at home so I have no gym friends.

I'm assuming MFP is full of Nigerian princes. Lol

Oh my goodness, I just looked to see when I was last on the forums. This was my last post from 2 years ago: Age 40 Height: 5'8 CW: 152 End of March goal 148 Daily goal: Keep alternating cardio and strength workouts x5/week and log meals every day. Longer term goal: I want to do a section hike of the AT while visitingβ¦

Hang in there! I am back again as well. The good thing about starting over, at least for me, is that I do it from a better/smarter place each time. I know how to do it now and I generally make myself reboot a little quicker each time. Someday I'm going to just accept that tracking food isn't optional for me, hopefully thatβ¦

I'm starting a few days late, but better late than never. I'm right on the line between overweight and healthy BMI at the moment and it is making me crazy. I just want to get back into the 150s (I'm 5'8) by the end of the month. March Start Weight: 163.6 March Goal Weight: 159 Ultimate Goal Weight: 140 March 1: 163.6 Marchβ¦

Wow! Now that was a really useful rabbit trail ya'll just sent me on.

Congrats! That is huge!

Size medium leggings. Woot! I wear them under exercise skirts so no one but me will notice, but I won't be having to hike them back up every minute or two now.
