My end result goal is to lose weight, be healthier and get stronger. I will eat healthier, log my food & drink and be aware of nutritional content as well as calories. I will have regular, short exercise breaks and increase the length of these. I will walk more each day (pain allowing).
-
I intend to log my food, walk as much as possible, take exercise breaks, meditate, learn about my inner obstacles and changing body, and manage my tasks and surroundings better.
-
I'm not following a set diet but aim to stay well within caloric deficit. I will pay attention to the idea of metabolic plating and getting an appropriate division of macros and fibre. I have already cut out sweets and chocolate (I don't miss them yet) but allow myself ice cream on hot days.

Wow, congratulations 👏 good luck 🎉

I was looking through the new Weekly Report section and like how this graph lays out my daily consumption. One thing I'm surprised at it how much more the grey goal figure is. If I'm eating that much less, you'd think I'd be losing weight. Yeah, Sunday was way over because I'd met a friend in the afternoon and watched…

I've been good at staying in calorie deficit these past two weeks, fairly good at going for walks, but not so great at taking exercise snacks. I'm really pleased at being able to cut out chocolate and sweets (except for ice-cream). I weighed out and bagged up mixed nuts and dried fruit (about 350 calories) for days when I…

I'm annoyed with myself, I had some online lessons today but had time to go out for a walk. Instead, I did stuff on the computer and decided to go out after work. As soon as the last lesson started, the thunder started and it has poured with rain since - I don't mind getting wet if I'm out but I don't like going out in it…

Hugs to you @aalley5 ❤️ That sounds pretty bad.

@Jensmakingprogress enjoy your cruise 🚢 bon voyage!

My stupid knee, that's basically why I've been quiet - pain, sleeplessness and having to get up and pee every two hours (in the middle of the night, the pain is at its worst and those 20 steps to the loo is like climbing a mountain). Plus, our landlord is increasing the rent and utilities. I felt something wasn't right and…

Hello everyone, I've just returned to your group after a while away. I didn't do very well at habit building the last time. Hopefully, summer is a good time to start again and I'm sure I'm ready for it. It's also nice to see some of your faces again since the newsfeed ended. For my health, I hope to walk 6,000 steps per…

It's hard, we're going to miss it. I've spent time going through the groups and it seems there are some good ones. Fat2Fit, as I mentioned before and Hogwarts weight loss group. I looked at how many members were in the groups to get an indication of their dedication. I've also seen a few names from my newsfeed in the…

Hello to all the new members and long-termers 👋😁 Mairi here, I'm Scottish but now live in Czechia where I teach English as a second language. I've been learning to manage my mind and body to become a better version of myself. Over the past few years I've put on weight and, being 53 with all the changes middle age brings,…

I spent some minutes watching these nutria while out walking yesterday evening. Until a few months ago, I'd never seen one and I'd no idea there were so many just a walk away. This might be my destination walk more often.
