I can’t wait to be able to post photos again, I have some produce fun I want to share! :s

@Noreenmarie1234 How are Smart Sweets? I’ve always wanted to try them but the almost $3 pricetag puts me off…

Isn’t it great when those ‘toss it all together’ recipes work out?

Oh geeze, now I need to find a Columbian place… That all sounds amazing. RE your chickpea salad, I wonder if it’s one of those recipes like Italian bolognese, or Swedish meatballs, etc, where it’s called something overall but every family does it a little differently?

Whipped cream cheese. 2 Tbsp for 50 calories of the plain stuff. I discovered the other day it makes a very good mayo sub in my chicken salad.

Normally what I do is ‘meal plan’ for the week, but right now that’s all trashed because we (husband and I) are kind of trying to eat differently and we are both back to counting calories. I would generally plan what I was going to cook what nights and what nights were ‘fend for yourself’, and then use that to make my…

I am a walking corpse today and also recently got back on counting calories, so while I was at the Vitamin Shoppe getting a couple things, I picked up an energy drink and a snack because I still have a LOT of day left to get through. The snack bar was meh. Didn’t taste like cookie dough and was very hard, but it’s going to…

A surprisingly aesthetic breakfast photo

Also made broccoli-cheddar soup yesterday. It looks goofy because I added a scoop of rice into my portion to give it a bit more staying power. I love broccoli so much and after years of avoiding it due to roulette with possible agonizing stomach pain, I’m discovering that as long as it’s cooked fully soft when I eat it,…

Salami. I could eat it by the fistful!
-
Quick and shady nicoise salad assembled not for visual delight, but for ease of eating! Lol
-
We eat the delux Annie’s (the non-vegan kind) on the regular in my house. It’s soooooooo good!
-
Chicken salad. With dried cranberries. I usually like nuts as well but since I don’t have any I’ve used some diced watermelon radish for the crunch!
-
Sorry about the messed-up bag lol, but for those of you with access to Trader Joes, these are DELICIOUS. Basically Fritos with a yummy elote flavor, not too spicy (and I’m a spice weenie).

To be honest, my mother-in-law bought them so I’m not sure what she paid. Maybe around $8? That’s the average price of the olives at the store these came from. But I don’t know. I’ll look next time I go!

Salad! <3

Had these olives for the first time a few days ago. Really yummy! Not like any other olive I’ve had so far. Very firm texture and interesting flavor, kinda hard to describe.

Valentine’s dinner for husband and I, charcuterie board with some ‘new’ goodies from the store but also some leftover bits and bobs from the fridge to use up

These were delicious. I love these stupid fake cupcakes so I’m excited to see new flavors! The orange ones were yummy. The birthday cake ones tasted exactly like cheap yellow cake mix, and sometimes that’s what you want, right? :)
-
@VegjoyP that bottom salad looks especially delicious; what’s in it?

Another Sprouts find. Tried this and an orange version. The orange was a bit better. They were good as you drank them but not at first; there is a very strong stevia taste which I dislike, but it sort of fades away as you drink it. Not something I’d get again but they were ok, and if you like the taste of stevia you’d…

Inspired by finding a jar of lingonberry jelly, I made Swedish meatballs in gravy, small boiled and buttered potatoes, and a Swedish side of cucumbers in dill, vinegar and sugar. I found the recipes on a Swedish recipe site and followed them almost to a T, the only difference being I used ground turkey for calorie’s sake…

Was in the vicinity of a Sprouts for the first time in like 3 years so stopped in for some goodies! I remember someone mentioning this on this thread ages ago, but this is the first time I’ve seen it. It was hard to pick a flavor, they have a lot of good-sounding ones. This is good! It’s lighter that ice cream but creamier…

(Inauthentic, Americanized) Brazilian shrimp soup over rice. I’ve made it once before and liked a few aspects of my previous rendition more, so some hybridizing is needed!
-
Husband and I made sushi for the second time Friday… Somehow this attempt was WAY WORSE than our first lmao. But it was still delicious!
-
Watermelon radish <3

A Whole Foods find. REALLY good! Not super sweet but also not really sour, but a STRONG, spicy ginger flavor. I got a grapefruit/ginger/juniper one to try as well and am excited about it
-
I LIVED on these in college lol. Love them so much and haven’t had them in ages!
-
I’ve never seen hazelnut ones before! :o I love the strawberry ones; they make me think of cheesecake!

Eggs for breakfast! In all kinds of different forms!
