Working at being a bit more active, both on this site and actually moving. Would love more friends who are active.

Hello all! I'm a 52 y/o currently living in Virginia, working in DC. Dealing with chronic kidney disease and a family history of heart disease. Working on losing the weight I've already lost before. Again. Happy to accept friend requests.

A food scale. More than anything knowing exactly how much I am eating is key. Pay more attention to the food scale and less to the number of the people scale.

Sent a friend request. Not sure how motivational I can be, but willing to try.

I have about 20ish pounds myself I could stand to lose. And to be honest I haven't fit in a little black dress since college. Probably best for everyone if it stays that way. Good luck!

Congrats on the loss, and good luck with the rest!

Feel free to add me if you'd like, I just ask that you include a comment with the friend request so I know you aren't a bot.

Feel free to add me, but please add a comment to the friend request. Requests with no comments will be ignored/rejected as there are far too many bots/spam accounts on MFP.

Feel free to add me if you want 50yo Male, currently at around 206lbs. At my heaviest I was 270+, took a lot off, then put some back on. Trying to get back to ONEderland. I run (poorly), eat foods that are probably awful (in moderation), and am quite funny (looking).

Seems to be a running theme of people coming back to MFP. I'l throw myself into that group as well. When I first started MFP I weighed 272 pounds, and got all the way down to 190. An accident and a knee surgery later and I got back up to 224. I have been back a little while so am working it off, but please feel free to add…

I've said this before, but it's always worth repeating. The scale only tells you one thing: How much gravity is affecting you at the moment you step on it. That's it, and a million things can affect how much gravity affects you at any one time. You are doing things right by weighing your food, you will get far better…

Looking to add a few friends. I am a runner (not a good one) and I eat horribly (in moderation). Feel free to add me if you want.

You start by burning more calories than you consume each day. Your body burns calories as a normal process. More if you are active/have more muscle, less if you are sedentary. You really don't even need to exercise if you are in a caloric deficit, but exercise has it's own benefits for your health. Here is the general…

This is my second time around on MFP as well, also coming off a really successful first time (262lbs down to 185lbs). Then like many others I let stress and other factors interfere with my life and added some of that weight back on. I don't have that far to go to get back where I want, but motivation is lacking at times.…

I just turned 50 myself. Used to be very active on MFP and was pretty successful (262 down to 185) but decided to do what I always do and quit. Got back up to 210. So, I'm back on MFP, and back to doing what actually worked for me, which is weighing my food more than I weigh myself. A food scale lets me know exactly how…
