500 cal deficit is the recommendation for a loss of 1 lb per week. That may be a bit aggressive for where you are in your weight loss journey. Also how did you come to your TDEE? If the TDEE is accurate the solution may be more activity not less food.

Be careful and make sure your goal will bless and inspire you, and not hurt or derail you. My only advice is train for your goal but be willing to adjust it if needed.

That question will guide you to how best to break up your cals through the day. I like a large meal so I eat 2x a day. I also play with macros and limit my simple carbs while adding in medium…

I am coming to terms with the fact that I am getting old and because of that my dietary needs have changed. I must find my new balance when I reach my goals and not fall back into my 20 year old self habits.

Healthy is soo subjective, what do you like to eat, and why do you need to change what you eat?

I am staying strong in my conviction and working on seeing the solid image in my mind of what I wish to be reflected in the mirror.

Activity level usually refers to your daily constant activity. Workouts are usually seen as added activity unless you are someone who works multiple times daily I would calculate workouts as light activity.

Just remember not to freak out when you gain 5-10 lbs in glycogen weight! This is not fat and should not scare you.

Is 1500 a realistic goal for you? What is your current weight, your height, your gender?
