Ok think I figured out my issues. I think caffeine hits me stronger and longer when I reduce my carbs. I got rid of my 2 pm energy drink and my coke with dinner and I have been able to get to sleep at a reasonable time.

I find that if I keep my carbs below ~80g my joint pain goes away and I have more rational control over my cravings. Yes I have upped my sodium, all my electrolytes to be honest, without the carbs it can be easy to dehydrate. I will see how tonight goes. If I still can’t sleep I will have to adjust my macros a bit.

still havent slept... I feel manic and that scares me because I know a crash always follows that. think tonight i will take a hot bath and sip some hot herbal tea to help me reestablish a sleep schedule

Rule of thumb is that a baby exclusively breastfeeding burns about 500 cals. When it was me I only ever ate back 1/2 of those cals, but I had 60# to lose so there was no danger of me loosing my milk production.

If I’m not mistaken the reason for doing the compound first is to fatigue the muscles and the isolation lifts are the icing on the cake to get that full burnout. If you are cutting and feeling like the full workout is too much the compound lifts should be enough to minimize muscle loss.

what are the fat protein and carb targets you are wanting? rule of thumb is 4 cal per gram of carb and protein and 9 cal per gram of fat

If you use the TDEE method you dont usualy eat back cals.
