I struggle with anxiety and depression. I just started trying to lose weight again. For a while I didn’t care about much of anything. It’s hard to take care of yourself when you feel that way. I don’t have any great advice except maybe to give yourself credit for what you do. I think it’s too easy to get into a slump where…

One week in. 4.6 pounds down. Feeling hopeful now. I don’t need nearly as many calories as I thought I did. I’ve had a couple of days where I actually needed to eat more because I hadn’t eaten my minimum calories. I wasn’t hungry. I didn’t have sweets but ate some more good food. Old habits are hard to break so I’m not out…

I’m 62 and want to lose about 45-50 pounds. I’m done with menopause but I have a bum ankle. I want to lose weight and become more active so I’ll have less pain as I walk and stand. I also want to be able to travel and enjoy it once the pandemic is under control. I need friends to support and be supported by.

I find that I don’t “need” nearly as much food as I think I do. I eat because it’s there, because I’m bored, because I’m nervous or anxious, etc. When I count calories and become aware of how much I need to eat to fuel my body, I realize that I eat less and enjoy what I eat more. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. Habits are…

You are awesome to work on your health. I am only 62 but I have mobility issues. I have found the HASfit chair exercises for seniors and people with mobility issues to be very helpful. I don’t know that it will help me lose weight (I’m working on calorie intake for that.). But I do find that it helps me feel better and…

I did HASfit 30 minute workout for seniors and those with mobility issues. I enjoy it and have a bum ankle so it’s something I can do.

I’m in although I don’t know about 30 by March. I’m 62 with some mobility issues due to bad ankle. Start weight 200, lord help me. My goal is to lose 40 pounds, although I’d be better off losing 55. I may go for it after the 40 is gone. My first goal is to get under 190.

I realize that this is not an unusually low calorie count. I’m going to aim for 1200-1300 per day. This is a big change for me. Thank you for the help. Sorry to be a whiner.

Thank you for the encouragement. I do realize that I need to create a calorie deficit. Because I am sedentary, that means a pretty low intake to lose at a one pound a week rate. Like 1350 calories. It’s just an adjustment that I’ll have to make.

Hello. I’m here because I am overweight and out of shape. Like all people, I have some challenges. One of my heel bones was crushed in a car crash years ago. My last surgery was bone spur removal last July. I have limited range of motion and pain when walking or standing. Through pandemic times, I’ve been even more…
