My petty reason - my low self esteem and shyness as a kid was likely the cause as well as the growing product of childhood bullying. I want to be strong, fit, healthy to prove to myself who's in control.

Great question Would be nice to have less hips, less arms, less legs - working on less. :-) I know I want to lose some lbs - but I also want/need to tone up as I go. The aerobic part is easy for me, the strength training not so easy.
