Right. So maybe it's about habits and developing distractions. However, distractions might only work once in a while. It's not a bulletproof strategy either. So I'm thinking that it may have to do more with habits. And I'm coming to the conclusion that going on extreme diets is not sustainable. Eventually, our bodies fight…

I agree with most of what you said, but when you say skinny people are making the choices they do, they aren't as hungry. I know many of them who get full right away and admit it's hard to eat a lot. It's not just a matter of willpower, although that could be part of it.

I went to the gym for the first time today since the pandemic. I've had my first shot for 2 weeks. Well I workout 2 to 3 hours a day, just haven't been to the gym. I'm trying to gain some normalcy back. I don't like to talk to other people about my journey or my weight. How can I gain confidence back when people ask me…

Well, I admit Jillian Michals confuses me a little. Here in the video, she says that cardio isn't efficient for weight loss, but is only good for extreme weight loss. In other videos, I've seen Jillian say cardio is how you lose weight fast, but then in others, she says it's not efficient.…

The reason why it's hard for me to differentiate is before when I was bigger, I got called big guy. Now that they're still saying it, it suggests to me that I haven't done good enough. So I have snapped at someone before, but they didn't know why I was mad. For some reason I feel like when you've lost weight you should be…

Thanks for the response. Yes, what has happened to the world has made me feel comfortable hiding away. And as a result made me more self conscious because I'm with myself. Sometimes when someone calls me ''big guy'' it offends me. I am muscular. So I don't know if they mean big as in strong or big as in fat.

Well I don't know. Jullian Michaels says you have to switch up your cardio because your body is similar to when you get a callus on your hand from lifting weights but then your body gets used to it. She says that happens when you do cardio if you don't switch it up.

Well, an analogy is the more money you make, the more taxes you're supposed to pay. So it gets harder to get wealthier.
-
Well, that's true. But one of my points is people say that your body gets used to cardio and so it burns less calories. What I'm also pointing out as you just said is when your weight increases, your calorie burn increases. So in a way, it's like getting used to the fat you're eating. You can now eat more of it without…

10 years wow. So I'm not the only one. Yea I keep telling myself, I'll step out and see people that I know when I have the perfect body and am ripped. One of my friends who I see on Zoom didn't even notice I lost weight, I don't think. But I showed her my before and after pictures from a year ago. She said I look great but…

Maybe. But isn't that just a different way of saying the same thing? More or less? The result was I still wasn't obese but could not gain weight no matter how much I enjoyed my pizza and burgers. Worked out every day though.

What? But everyone talks about body confusion.
-
Well if you wanna make your body immune to gaining weight from fat, you gotta get it used to it.
-
There's gotta be someone else that has not wanted to go out because they wanted to get to their goal first?

As I said in my last post, I want to have the confidence to go see people again and not be overly concerned and have to use Covid as the excuse.

So it sounds like you haven't had much of a struggle with weight, especially since you said you were only overweight once. You didn't say that you stuffed down food for your emotions. The poster below you did.
