Yes... How can I shift my focus to only doing it for myself? I always start at doing it for me, but then when I am able to ride a certain amount of miles, I start feeling like I'm strong. That's when I get excited and want the compliments. But then again, when I was heavier, I don't want people commenting. Now that I am in…

I understand. Whenever I have gained weight and I get back on track, I always tell myself that this is for me only. Don't expect any compliments. But then when I go on a roll and I feel excited for myself, I get obsessed with what others are going to say. And when their response is dull, it makes me feel deflated. Like I…

Yea, I noticed there are fewer people commenting on bodies in the last few years. Maybe it's a cultural shift. Of course, on social media people are obsessed and they are always commenting on influencer's bodies whether good or bad. Maybe that's part of it, I am always comparing myself to others. I'm used to seeing people…

I told you guys it's more than just measuring your calories. One day maybe people will realize that it's a little more complex than you thought.

Yea, it seems like my thyroid is okay. I've had it tested several times in my life. I guess I have 2 weaknesses. I exercise a lot, but sometimes feeling like snacking on some carbs and patience. I try a lot of appetite suppressants like fiber. Works modestly. But sometimes I still feel like snacking, although the fiber…

Well, I guess mine is low, but not too low. Symptoms are mostly hard to lose lots of weight.

I'm looking at the Test you talked about (Quest). But you were talking about blood glucose after a meal. This test requires you to fast 8 to 12 hours.
-
Good points. I wonder why Planet Fitness invests a lot in Arc Trainers, compared to other gyms.
-
I mean it has a little hole, but still covers most of my face. It covers my nose. It's just a partial tear, so even part of my mouth. I have a hard time believing that the slight tear is going to kill someone, compared to having it covered completely. As I said, I'm not around anyone. Also, I got my shot. And can't…

Oh okay. Yea, I'm talking about the lower body ones. They don't have the total body ones here anymore. I find that the total body trainers are good for steady state. Lower body arcs are good for intervals.
-
I do like this advice. For some reason, some people like to go on and on about my body. Sometimes it's not a one-liner and they want to make a whole conversation about it.
-
Do you lean backwards or forward on it?
-
Yes, this is true too. Both can be true. It doesn't mean I'm making stuff up. You can be insecure about having muscle weight, while at the same time knowing you need to take off both fat and weight.
-
Thanks. I didn't know that you should lean backwards. If you lean far back, wouldn't it be hard to hold onto the handles if your arms aren't that long?
-
Well, I used to actually feel my stomach shrinking during my workouts. I could just feel it. As far as exercise, I do 2-5 hours, but I don't feel right if I don't get in at least an hour and a half of cardio, just to feel normal. I don't even account for it as far as calories anymore. Of course, it makes me slightly…
-
But I'm still amazed they can actually do it. Most people their size can't even do 15 minutes without really struggling.
-
Yea that's a good point. I'm gonna ride more hills and then just get better at everything else. Yea cycling does work more than people realize. When I'm going up a long, steep hill I don't just feel it in my legs but my core and upper body too, because I have to hold myself up.
-
Yea I really don't know why I never got a workout on a rower. I tried to do intervals too. I just couldn't work hard on it, it felt like I wasn't using any muscles and was just bouncing back and forth. Couldn't get my heart rate over 140 bpm. Is there a heavy resistance knob on it that I'm missing? That machine has stumped…
-
Well, maybe you're right then. But I will say that my body feels better with the bands. It's almost like I'm swimming, not weight-bearing. I talked with Dr. Jaquish and asked him if bodybuilders would need to lift weights if they had X3 and he said no point.
-
Are you sure about that? When I'm doing a military press with the X3 Bar (generic one) I can feel tension when the weight is coming down. Isn't that eccentric? Dr. John argues that most bands are not heavy enough and aren't attached to a bar. And the program is only designed for one set for each exercise. It is true that…

I hear what you're saying. If I go too slow I will fall over. There's no choice but to push! Yup, when the machine gives you the ability to coast, it can be so hard not to! But I do like his suggestion. I might give it a try. It won't simulate a bike outside, but I'm curious what will happen if I turn up the resistance and…
-
Thanks. Swimming is good, but I think of that as more interval training and it's limited to the length of the pool. Now for some reason, I've tried the rowing machine before and have never gotten a good workout on it. It's not that easy to go intense with it.
-
That's a good analogy.
-
What kinda ways? Care to share?
-
What do you think about this statement? I got a reply from a rep. Plenity is not a fiber, it’s an FDA-cleared prescription weight management tool used in combination with diet and exercise for adults who are overweight or obese and have a body mass index BMI of 25-40 kg/m^2. The structures and properties of our…

Well, I've had a hard time going to bed for years. However, ever since I started taking more fiber, I am eating much less at night. Instead of eating a whole plate of food, I'm only snacking on a couple of hundred calories, and then it has helped me go to sleep. If I have nothing, I can't fall asleep cuz I'm craving some…

Nice idea. I'll note that in my journal.

You mentioned combatting fatigue. At times yes, my brain does feel a bit fatigued. And when I have chocolate or something starchy like crackers, I usually feel energized again. What can give me the same boost that doesn't contain calories?
-
Eating a spinach salad with apple cider vinegar does work pretty well for me. But it doesn't necessarily stop all my brain cravings, mostly just fills my stomach up.
-
Interesting. I agree. Now, if I'm feeling a little hungry later at night, what do you think is the number one snack I can eat that still gives me all the nutrients, but prevents me from a binge? I heard dark chocolate was great. However, there's a problem with dark chocolate. I can't really stop eating it, so that defeats…
