  • OP did not indicate that she’s following a low carb way of eating, maybe you mis-read her post?
  • I love Dave’s Killer bread, there’s several options and I like them all 🙂
  • Thanks everyone! I’ll stay the course and keep following MFPs calorie recommendations and see where I’m at in a few weeks.
  • Thanks for the input! You're probably right, I need to give it a few weeks and see where I'm at then. It was just so unexpected, it really threw me lol.
  • I’m a mom of three kiddos/pregnancies. During my initial weight loss phase years ago, where I lost around 50lbs, I had the same exact reaction as you’re having. The morning I hit my initial goal weight I broke down crying because I hated how I looked. Everything was so flabby/loose, I looked like a deflated balloon 🤦‍♀️ I…
  • Yep, how many of us lost the extra weight, only to have it come back at some point? I made it through about 7 years of maintenance and thought I was one of the special snowflakes. Then a world-wide pandemic hits and a year later I'm up almost 25lbs and am now back to trying to lose weight. Very frustrating. eta: as a side…
  • Your diary is set to private so we can't see what you're eating, might be a good idea to open it up since you're browsing through all of ours, that way we can get meal ideas from you ;) I usually eat the same thing every morning-2 slices of Killer Dave's toasted bread, with a triangle of Laughing Cow cheese spread. Coffee…
  • We have an acquaintance who's teen ended up in our local hospital with MIC-S. Over 40 days out and she's now in rehab re-learning how to walk. My own daughter had a mild case and it was a pretty awful experience. I don't know where this idea of 'it's only the flu' got started, but having a really bad bout with the flu,…
  • Here's a good overview of flexitarian -https://health.usnews.com/best-diet/flexitarian-diet
  • I'm not a vegetarian but I'm also working towards a less meat way of eating. Not because I think meat is super bad or anything, but because I want to free up space for more whole grains, beans, veg/fruit etc. Working on cleaning up my diet and reducing some things, to make room for other things :) I'm loosely following the…
  • Discovered yesterday that Chick-Fil-A sauce is being sold at the grocery store! I've never seen this before and I think I gasped out loud, lol. It's a calorie bomb so I carefully measured out a half serving and mixed it with raw veggies (carrots/broccoli/cauliflower), cherry tomatoes and then the Sams Club Greek Olive…
  • I started using a fitbit last year, as motivation to get out and walk more during the lockdown craziness. In the time I used it I also proceeded to gain almost 25lbs. I blame the fitbit. Ha, actually the weight gain was because I had stopped following my maintenance plan and stopped being mindful of calorie intake. But, I…
  • My husband and I were all for getting the vax for ourselves, but were hesitant about our kids (13, 14 and 16). No concrete reason why, just kind of felt wrong for some reason? Then my 14 year old got covid earlier this month (traced it to church youth group). Having gone through that miserable experience has completely…
  • Just re-joined today, to also deal with pandemic weight creep. My biggest challenge is getting back into the habit of choosing healthy, calorie appropriate foods. My food diary only has two meals in it so far haha, but feel free to add me :)
  • Just sent you a friends request :)
  • I've experimented with all types of coffee additions and have settled on just reducing the amount of cups per day, like others have also recommended. I'm at one cup in the morning with a splash of whole milk and then 1pkt of sugar. If it's an issue for you maybe just reduce the number of cups?
