I FORGOT TO SEND THIS YESTERDAY SO THIS WILL BE FOR 2 DAYS. (Saturday 8/30/25) We continue with cooler weather which is fine with me. We went to my S-I-L house today to continue clearing out my M-I-L guest room which is filled with boxes to sort. We looked through a lot of pictures and separated them into piles for each…

K - Let me introduce you the “Kesusu“, the strangest but coolest fruit of Borneo island. It has other names such as Karon, Buruni and Ematak. According to the guide, Kesusu belongs to Jackfruit family (Anacardiaceae), a type of latex plant. Its scientific name is Prainea limpato. The edible part is the protruding seeds are…

Yes, if I am going to eat fish, I do not want fakes from lakes or oceans. There are so many imitation foods now to choose from. Why not just stick to the original food and not change the DNA with unnatural genes. It "makes" me wonder what God thinks of man making their own form of food rather than the delicious food he…

Fear does make large emotions in our minds that are bigger than than reality. Please do not cry Judith. I could not "bear" to see you in distress. BEAR

Although cute and affectionate, I would rather stick to normal pets like dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. All of those I have had experience with. On Facebook there is a group that has jumping spiders as pets. They make little houses for them. They are very small and are really beautiful to see at a distance. It…

Today was a gorgeous day with cloudy sky and higher humidity so it felt even cooler. I walked to the women's luncheon and back home which was about a mile round trip. We only had 4 women but the others had good reasons for not being there - one was caring for her husband who just had a hip replacement, another one's…

Yes we learn a lot from this team but I would not like to know everything about everything. Life would be boring if we did not have something to make our minds work. I "shake" my head at those who think they know everything and brag about it. God needs to get the glory for how our minds imagine or our eyes see or our ears…

Micro bats are still bats but these might not be as bad as the big ones we have at the cabin that whiz over the tops of our heads when we are out watching the stars at night. My granddaughter was extremely scared of them. Although we told her they are good for hunting bugs and would not hurt her, she would have liked to…

Beautiful day today - High of 79F (26.1C) and low of 54F (12.2C). It was wonderful to take a walk today. Humidity was high at 62% that was just enough to make it feel cooler.

E - Early Girl Tomato - we have several of these plants. They are not big enough to cover a whole sandwich but are tasty as a snack. The Early Girl tomato is a popular variety known for its early ripening. It produces medium-sized, juicy tomatoes that have a sweet and tangy flavor. Early Girl tomatoes are prized by…

It has been a very long day and I will be going to bed soon. Last night I could not sleep so I stayed up reading until 3:30am then got up at 8:15am to get packed to come back to our desert home - Grand Junction. The trip usually takes us around 4 hours to go back and forth. We do stop and walk some so it is not straight…

Judith - I would have a hard time deciding when the zebra tomato was ripe. I always look for the red ones. A - Avocado

Yes that would be very difficult to deal with if you could not get away from the bats. Maybe you should "stow" an invisible cloak in your purse and when they come, you could put it on and they would not see you and could not attach themselves to your clothing. STOW

We need to keep our hearing good so we can learn more each day and make our brains work. It is amazing that when you look at the wool that the workers "shear" off the sheep is dirty and yellow. But it can be made into socks that are so beautifully clean and white. - the process is so interesting. SHEAR

Glenn had an eye appointment this morning to check how his macular degeneration is doing and to see if there is something he can do so his eyes do not get so tired when he is using the computer. He has blue canceling glasses that are almost orange that do help but he needs to be able to do more for the school. The doctor…

Yes Susan white sand beach dirt is much better than volcanic red. I am go glad that you were willing to "share" your secret to your shiny white socks. SHARE

Susan - I also did spelunking when I was in college. I never saw a bat but I did see beautiful formations and some tiny passageways that skinny me was able to go through but more plump me would have to turn around an go back the way I came. If there were bats, although they are cute, I would go "west" if they were going…

Y - Yunnan Hackberry Fruit - Native to the Yunnan province of China, the Yunnan hackberry fruit is a small fruit that turns dark purple when it’s ripe. It has a taste that’s very similar to cranberries and is used to make treats. They look like little cherries or grapes but they have an extremely sweet taste, juicy but…

It rained on and off all day. I was planning to take a long walk but that did not happen. Tomorrow we will visit my friend who just went into assisted living last year. She has dementia but gets along pretty well. After that we will visit my son to give them some applesauce from last year. Susan - I hope the surgeon is…
