Is there a wrong way to post or reply? I don't know, I just do it. I'm not the owner of this group, any way you please is fine with me. Sounds like you are reading an ok book, not stellar, sometimes I read books that I know are going to be that way. I can't always read 5 star books, that blow me away, I like to mix it up.…

I look at Woot, it is an Amazon owned company, they run deals on refurbished Kindles CHEAP! They had some today but they are all sold out now, rats. A 2021 11th Generation Paperwhite was $70, Amazon Refurbished. I found that those have zero problems, good strong batteries, and no scuff marks too, they are simply cheaper.…

My Tea of the Day is a new one to me, Yunnan. It is hand rolled and looks kind of like snails, as the package says. It's a wonderful addition to my collection, a new favorite! Look at how the leaf unfurls in the French Press, how neat! I used 10 grams in a 32 oz French Press, 2.5 grams per cup, steeped for 5 minutes with…

Here is a White Tea fresh from today's delivery, my Tea of the Evening, called Fuzzy Navel. White teas are hand picked fresh tea leaves with little or no oxidation or rolling, the least processed of all the varieties; delicate and light with little caffeine content. This one has flavors of Georgia peaches and navel oranges…

As I wait for my hot herbal beverage to cool off enough to sip, I'm making this post about herbal teas, which are not really tea, but similar enough that I suppose some would call them that. Tea leaves come from the Camellia sinensis bush, and a simple cup of tea is not a simple matter! Does anyone know how many varieties…

My Tea of the Day is blandly called Lemon Black Tea, by Tiesta Teas. The tea is not bland though, it is an Assam with lemon peel and chicory root. Enjoy your day, make it a healthy one!
-
Coconut Breeze is my tea of the day, a soft coconut oolong from Tiesta tea which I made using my new gram scale to get the right amount and my French press to brew enough for later. Have a great day everyone.

The Litigators by John Grisham

The Tea of the Day is Irish Breakfast by Adagio. Described by Adagio, "Irish Breakfast combines hearty black teas from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and Assam (India) to get your morning off to a bright start. As its name implies, the Irish Breakfast black tea blend is an ideal accompaniment to a morning meal. It seamlessly blends…

5* to Blake Crouch's winning novel. I am now reading Sync, the newest book by (banned) author Ellen Hopkins.

As a comparison, I weighed out 10g of Ceylon Orange Pekoe from Adagio and I dumped out a bag of Lipton Orange Pekoe to see the difference. One is leaves and one is powder, the difference is quite striking.

Tea of the Day is Tiesta's "Lean Green Machine", a light citrus green tea with lemongrass, orange peel and lemon peel. Lighter on the caffeine side, it is still a wonderful afternoon sip. I read in my Tea Enthusiasts book that the proper amount of tea per cup is 2-3 grams of loose leaf per 6 oz of filtered water, which is…

I would guess so! I live in Michigan and it has been a nice summer, it is 83 degrees right now and our average for this date is a high of 74. Sitting in air conditioning the warm beverages don't bother me any more than a cup of coffee... Today's tea is a bit different. I rarely drink bagged teas anymore, finding them to be…

Friday's Tea of the Day is Jade Leaf Ceremonial Grade Matcha! In my favorite Matcha tea mug.

I have started Recursion by Blake Crouch. This one was the Goodreads 2019 Science Fiction winner.
-
I almost forgot to post today's Tea of the Day! It is Tiesta's Ceylon Orange Pekoe. Bought in bulk loose leaf teas are quite affordable priced per cup. This is one of my favorite mugs because it holds so much!

Today's tea is Earl Grey Bella Luna by Adagio. Robust Earl Grey shines with familiar bergamot notes, highlighted by a soft glow of coconut and cream. I'm sleepy today so I made a quart in my French Press.

Starting the Discworld series with The Color (Colour) of Magic by Sir Terry Pratchett. These are shorter books but there are quite a lot of them.

Today is Royal Breakfast by Tiesta Teas, with a splash of non-dairy creamer. Live Loose!

I missed yesterday's post, so I'll post yesterday. Maybe a new tea for today later on. Tea of Yesterday was London Fog Latte:

Tea of the Day is Golden Monkey by Adagio Teas!

The Tea of the Day is Milk Oolong by Tiesta Teas. Drink loose leaf!

Much slower month, so far. I have finished Fireborne, read a Star Trek: Picard tv show novelization book, and now I'm starting Frank Herbert's Heretics of Dune, which is #5 in the original Dune series. I picked up a "lot" of 19 Brian Herbert Dune books from HumbleBumble for my Kindle, but I want to finish his father's…

I didn't get to read today at all, so I am going to have to go in a different direction, not try to get that book done. I won't pay Amazon $10 for it either, that is why I use the libraries. There are an infinity number of good books out there to find... I am starting to look at articles with recommendations for the better…

I finished Youngblood Hawke, which was not as good as I hoped it would be, then read Red River Seven by A. J. Ryan who is the pen name for fantasy author Anthony Ryan. The book was disappointing also. However, I got up to 10,000 pages read in August according to Goodreads, by far my highest count for a single month and a…

I switched gears from Flameborne by Rosaria Munda to Youngblood Hawke by Herman Wouk. I was not getting into the first book and will revisit it when I can concentrate better. The Wouk novel is 40.5 hours long and I have 24 to go, I have 3 days left to get it done by the end of the month. It isn't a race though and if I…

Reading a couple of Ellen Hopkins novels, they are short... and banned... so they are worth my time. I have read almost everything by Ellen Hopkins already but there were a few more recent ones I missed. What About Will was good, and I am now listening to People Kill People.
-
The sequel to Ninth House, Hell Bent, was also pretty good. I'm taking a break to read some shorter books for a day or two, both of those clocked in at 16.5 hours each.
-
I finished the Lost Fleet series and then read Tom Lake by Ann Patchett, which was only ok for me, I say "meh" I could have taken or left it. 3 stars was generous, it wasn't a poorly written book it just didn't interest me so I gave it the benefit of the doubt, maybe it is a really good book to someone else. I'm reading…

I stopped getting emails from B & N for some reason, I should go check my communications preferences on the account I suppose. Thanks for the heads up about the sale, sometimes Amazon matches B & N prices on most of the books. Seeing all of the sale books in one list is handy on BN though.
