Welcome! I don't tend to set a goal, I just read as I can. I don't have my yearly averages totaled yet, but I do keep track on Goodreads and in a spreadsheet. I primarily use "immersion reading" with a text and an audiobook at the same time, so I know how many hours I have read per year and per day when I calculate that…

If Amazon does not stop selling "on sale" kindle books that are good (many have been from my lists lately) I am going to go broke!

Guns of the Dawn by Adrian Tchaikovsky

Well my eyes were dilated at my exam today so I am listening to an audiobook, I can't read very well. I am looking forward to that dilation going away. My new glasses came in and are great! I'm listening to The Trumpet of the Swan by E. B. White

I like to keep only one at a time. Some people watch many television shows concurrently so I guess it might be similar? I'm reading A Hill of Bean (Chuckwagon Trail Western book 3) by William W. Johnstone with J.A. Johnstone.

Star Wars: Bloodline by Claudia Gray

I loved it, but it was tragic, full of dramatically tragic moments. An Orchestra of Minorities by that same author was the same way, I loved them both. Some people find it depressing. I'm reading A River Runs Through It and Other Stories by Norman Maclean. I will pause when I get to the "other stories" because my hold on…

Rule of Wolves (King of Scars, #2) by Leigh Bardugo

The Iceman (WW II Navy book 5) by P.T. Deutermann was very good. Now I am reading a Kindle Unlimited western selection, The Chuckwagon Trail by William W. Johnstone with J.A. Johnstone.

I'm just finishing up Empire's End (Star Wars: Aftermath, #3) by Chuck Wendig. What will be next? The sky is the limit. I have a couple of books in mind, but might change it before I get there...

Highly recommend. If you read and liked We Were Liars, it does spoil that book somewhat but it was a long while ago that I read that one and I didn't remember much of it (other than I enjoyed it a lot). It wasn't necessary to have a working memory of book 1 to enjoy the prequel.

Family of Liars (We Were Liars #0) by E. Lockhart

The Princess and the Scoundrel (Star Wars) by Beth Revis. I sense a theme lately...

3 stars for Star Wars: Padawan by Kiersten White. Now reading Star Wars: Aftermath by Chuck Wendig.

That is why I don't leave reviews, or read them before a book. Also, I reviewed a book once and criticized the author's ignorant views on mental illnesses and he berated me with cursing in the comments! I deleted the comment and I think I turned commenting off on my reviews after that. That was at Goodreads, I try not to…

Be sure to review it on Goodreads, I made the mistake of not reading or reviewing a book I won there and didn't win again for a looooong time. I have won twice, one was a personalized signed copy of a book, I made sure to review that one. I think in the fine print somewhere when you enter they say they want you to review…

While I had no internet connection over the entire weekend I read Stephen King's newest novel Fairy Tale. It was 4 stars.

I put the new Stephen King on my reading list but the new Terry Brooks came out and I want to read that one first. I have both. I had to reread last year's Terry Brooks book because this new one is a sequel, Daughter of Darkness follows book 1, Child of Light. I don't remember reading book 1 at all. What is happening to my…

I bought that one and it is high on my TBR pile but library books keep coming in. I read Zoe's Tale (Old Man's War #4) and now on to book 5, The Human Division by John Scalzi. Most entertaining series!

The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
-
War and Remembrance by Herman Wouk (1,400 pages so I will be at this one for a while)
-
I'm on to The Last Colony (Old Man's War #3) after reading the novella #2.5 last night. The novella was 100 pages, not much to it. I'm really enjoying this series so far.

The Ghost Brigades (Old Man's War #2) by John Scalzi

Old Man's War by John Scalzi (semi-humorous sci-fi)
