I flew this week for the first time in a couple of years and did not need my seatbelt extender. I had packed it just in case but I had inches to spare. I definitely got teary!

Hi @doordesignsbystephanie , I have been taking Mounjaro for almost a year and have lost 60 pounds so far. I am very pleased with the assistance it provides. I have gotten slammed in some of the discussion groups for using it. But I have come to see obesity as a health issue rather than a character flaw. I take medication…

My mini goal is to hit 60 pounds gone this month

Way to persevere! You are inspiring!

LOL....I just looked to see what group you were talking about....and it's the one we are in! It has been quiet there as well and I was hunting around to see what else is out there. Must be the summer lull!

You're in South Carolina....how about a weekend at the beach? The beach is my happy place!

I started in November and am currently at 10 mg. I've lost 44 pounds.

Congrats....those are all great NSVs! I have to confirm as well when you lose weight, people "let you in" more. It is SUCH an odd phenomena....and can actually be overwhelming if you're not prepared. Keep going!

That's wonderful! Way to go!!!

That's great! Way to go!

@serenecompassion2663 - I like the sound of walking against the water current. Where do you do that? That would be really good for my hip I think. I'm taking Mounjaro and it is a different mindset (and such a relief) to be able to stop eating when I've had enough.

Down a pound this week....at least it is in the right direction.
-
FANTASTIC! So glad it is helping you!

Hi! Yes, I've been on Mounjaro since November 1 and have lost 29 pounds. It has been a great tool for me and I have had minimal side effects as well. I log my food every day and am focused on being calorie-deficit. Mine is also prescribed by my doctor; I have come to believe that obesity is a disease that affects some more…

I guess I never found my mojo last week to make a post! I was still looking at February's posts. 😏 🍀How did winter treat you? What do you hope to accomplish in this new season? And does a change in the weather affect you for the worse or the better? Winter is always hard for me. It always feels so grim after the holiday…

Yes, you can relate indeed. I have a walker in the garage from an old knee injury but my pride refuses to let me use that. Bad enough I use a cane...I will revert to crutches when it is too much. I look forward to getting back in my friend's pool in warmer weather. Hugs!

I have a had a tough week and haven't been very chatty lately. My hip and leg pain is kicking my butt and taking away more of the things I like to do. It has gotten to me mentally. I saw two docs yesterday and basically told to keep working on losing weight. It is super frustrating but this is apparently the only thing I…

I completely get it. I think they honestly mean it as encouragement (most people), but it feels judgmental. And I completely hate the "I'm so proud of you...". I could go on a rant but recognize it as chatter and try not to let it affect you. We receive it much differently than intended.

Hi @nyxxie2509, Welcome! Sounds like a tough start to the year and I'm sorry for your loss. I hope taking care of yourself helps you as it sounds like you take great care of others.

Hey @AmberlyMarlene, welcome to the party! Super Bowl and Valentine's were definitely a double whammy! You can get back on track; you've made a great start!

Hello all! I had a fun day yesterday. My bestie picked me up to go to lunch yesterday....just a little sandwich/salad place around the corner. We finished our lunch quickly and the chairs were hurting me (Can't sit up long due to hip pain). So we decided to go find a drvie thru coffee place. Of course it turned into a Lucy…

Sending big hugs and prayers your way! Don't forget to breathe

Well, I had a whole response drafted and lost it so everyone....Keep on keeping on! Progress isn't linear, we just gotta keep on trying again each day. I'm grateful for the support I find here! My weekend was good. It was as close to normal as I have felt in a while. We got out for dinner on Friday night with friends and a…

TGIF Everyone! The sun is shining today after a full week of clouds and icy weather. So happy and warmer temps are right behind it! @TeamCap12 Congrats on addressing the issues openly with your husband and trying to work through them. That is a lot of work and stress.....sounds like you are managing it all well. Congrats…

Happy February y'all! Thanks for keeping this group going into February! My name is Diane and I greatly appreciate finding a group that has more to lose. 💕How did January treat you and how have you been treating yourself? January was good for me weight-wise; I lost 8 pounds. The slower pace and lower expectations of…

Well done!

"every loss is a gain" and "every day is a second chance"...I'm getting words of wisdom on this Monday morning!!! A little frustrated that it is going so slow and that I "don't get to have" some of my favorite unhealthy foods. Gotta keep my eye on the big picture and remember it's all about choices. No need to act like a…

@ravenstcloud - Yay for 20!!! I get not getting hung up on the number but ya gotta celebrate the landmarks! @serenecompassion2663 - Good luck with the appointments. Surgery was suggested for me but it is not an option that I am willing to do at this point. I started on one of the meds in November and I can tell a…

Happy Monday! Hope all survived the weekend. Our hot water heater went out Friday and our internet so we have called it our primitive weekend. Oh how spoiled we are! Very grateful to have friends that offered showers. Otherwise the weekend was pretty uneventful. I have met my goal of logging and every day and staying under…
