I am ready to go!! I am doing the in between challenge so I can keep myself in check and try to lose some weight too. I want these next 8 weeks to be my best 8 week challenge.
-
I have a planner that I use to put my weekly goals. I also keep track of my weight in it. I check my glucose numbers every morning so I know if something I ate the night before needs to be taken off of my list.
-
I measure on the first day of the challenge and again on the last Friday of the challenge. I was surprised at the end of the Fall challenge when I measured and had lost a total of 7.5 inches. Must be doing something right.

I am a bit of both. I am an emotional eater if I am stressed or if I am really nervous about something. I have learned to not go the fridge or cabinets when I am feeling this way. I will reach for a healthy snack. I'm old, but I am still learning.

I am trying for 5000 steps a day. Sometimes I do less and sometimes I do more. I have a treadmill a Teeter Step machine (Like an elliptical only you sit down on it) and all kinds of exercise videos.

I am doing the Pre-diabetic diet. I'm not pre-diabetic right now. I am doing things the way I am supposed to . It is hard for me sometimes because my DH always has lots of sweets to eat and I LOVE sweet stuff. I have done really well with staying away from those.

My goals are 1. Plan my meals and make sure I have everything I need for that week. 2. Try to make more ME TIME and that isn't always being a caregiver. 3. Log everything I eat and be mindful of what I eat. 4. Doing my exercises and more strength training.

I want to continue losing some weight since I have slowly started to lose again. I had breast cancer and the treatments really take a toll on your body. It was a long hard road to follow after the treatments and medications were completed. I want to be more mindful of my tracking of my food. I like the HH's and I think it…

@dbeau57 I am so sorry loss. We are suppose to die before our children. I can't even begin to know how you are feeling, but I know you are hurting. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and that the Lord has taken her home. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless…

I am ready with my workouts and items I need to do these. I will be adding more foods and meal plans as we get closer to the challenge. I am ready for a successful challenge.
-
I have added it to my calendar. I entered the start date and the end date and also the halfway date so I can see what changes I may need to make for the second half of the challenge.
-
My exercise plan is getting my strength training, use my exercise equipment and I am going to be doing the 28 Day Chair Yoga for Seniors. I love to walk and I am hoping to get some outside walking when the temps are cooler.
-
My meal plan is to continue on the pre-diabetic diet. I do read labels for everything to watch my sodium and my carbs. Tracking is a must.
-
Goals - To lose my 5% weight during this challenge. Why - To keep from being a diabetic. It runs in my family. Exercise - Will be using my Tetter Step up, treadmill and many different types of exercise videos. I have been doing 120 minutes a day. Nutrition - Eating more protein and cutting down on carbs.

What do you like to be called? What do you like to be called? I go by Sue or Susie. I use Sue here on the team. How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? I joined the SUDS team on Spark People and I met Diane1. She helped me get started with the 5% challenge. How many 5% Challenges have you done? I have been doing these…

I have been with several ladies on a team when we started on SP. I am very focused on doing my best for myself and for this team. There is always someone to help you with anything that happens and they are quick to check on you if you haven't posted anything for a couple of days or if there is bad weather where you live.…

Thanks for the info for the Fall 5% Challenge. For week 8 maybe it could be NSV and measurements.

I want to be on the PS4L team again.

What do you like to be called? Sue How did you learn about the 5% Challenges? Many years ago when I was with SP How many 5% Challenges have you done? I can’t remember for sure, but I believe it was in 2011. That’s when I met @Dianedoessmiles1 and she invited me to join the SUDS team. What do you like to do for fun? I love…

How many 5% Challenges have you done? I have lost count. I started doing the challenges on SP and I was on the SUDS Team. That was in 2010 or 2011. I have done a lot of them. Whatever @Dianedoessmiles1 puts down will be the same for me. She introduced me to the challenges and I have been doing them ever since. What do you…

I am ready!! I do have a food scale so I can measure my portions. I use it a lot for measuring my meat portions. I also use it for snacks. Got my, shoes, clothes and my big water jug. It's time to get everything ready to go, including myself. Going to apply all of these things to my daily routine to see how well I do.…

This sounds like a good idea and I just got my 2024 planner that fits in my purse so I am going to try this to see if it helps me. Thank you for this idea.

I used to always measure and take a before picture. I am going to start this challenge doing the before and after pictures and measuring on the first Saturday and then measure each Saturday. There is more to just weighing in. It is easy to get stuck on the weight loss when there are other NSV that make a difference in the…

I am a mindful eater, but at times I can be a mindless eater when I am stressed out. I like the HALT approach and I will be trying to use this when emotional eating is trying to take over.
