My goodness, if you settle in at 1.5-2lbs a week that would be marvelous! I am prediabetes and have over 100 lbs to lose, and am waiting to hear if I am approved for Ozempic (I have Graves disease, so GP was reaching out to Endocrinologist to confer). Fingers crossed 🤞 I'm approved!

Y'all have inspired me to cook some prime rib! Or at least a roast of some kind 😉 Maybe next weekend. I have some family-size beef in the freezer, but probably not Prime rib lol. @swimmom_1 - Mary, I imagine the reverse sear would work on other cuts too? Sounds intriguing (and tasty 😋).

Hey all, I have been more or less maintaining but actually sort of creeping up, week over week, so kept Easter reasonable and got myself in hand and am back on the losing train again - chug, chug and woohoo! I am below my Jan 1st weight, not by much, but still grateful to be hanging in. And we have a mid-May family trip to…

He is risen! Happy Easter! Now freeze (or at least portion) any leftovers you foolishly kept and toss the chocolate.

Good article. Thanks for posting 😊. I am meeting with my GP next week to discuss fasting!

I think I had to get out my laptop.

Love it!

Congrats! You truly are my hero! So proud of you 👏 🥰 💛

I still trust the green checked ones more, but not blindly, that's for sure. And I do think old information is to blame sometimes for inaccuracies. Thanks Ann for the tip about "finding the USDA entries that were loaded at MFP's start up." - didn't even know those existed!

Now If only I could maintain forward...

Saw this on another thread, and thought it would be appreciated here! Quite the fearsome wrapper...

Yay you! 😘

Hey all, checking in. I am down 9 lbs since Dec 31, and a smidge lower than my pre-Christmas/cruise weight. I think I mentioned I was working on increasing my fasting time after New Year's, had already developed a regimen of minimum 12 hour fasts overnight, which I was working on bringing to 16/8. I found this relatively…

❤️ it too! 🐻

Lol, to me it's not chili without the beans! Thanks folks.
-
If you were going to make chili in the Instapot, would you put everything in together with the beans, and cook together? I'm already soaking the beans, but was thinking I'd make chili, so now wondering about NOT cooking the beans first. Or maybe 1/2 cooking them?? Thanks for everyone's input 😘
-
Wow, this is going to be great! I like'em on the mushy side too. Soaking some beans tonight 😋 Thanks for the intel @spinnerdell !
-
Tell me your Instapot routine pretty please 🙏 lol

Hey all, life is busier for me just now, my retirement sideline of becoming a travel agent had a growth spurt as I booked a cruise for two family groups - 1 with 3 cabins + air, the other for cruise only but 7 cabins! Now, if I could just finish my courses lol, I am 79% complete. I am going to a lunch & learn tomorrow put…

Man, you have definitely inspired me to buy some noodles!! Thanks for posting, both of you 😘

Yup, eggs are up substantially in my part of the world too - and free run/free range are hitting $7-8 CAD. But still cheaper than meat.

I came here to make the same suggestion - the name of the group is 'Lose 1 lb a Week and Keep It Off 2023' if you search under groups, then click join, and within 24 hours we can let you in! So sorry you are feeling this way 😞 There is a google sheet linked to our group and you do need to enter your starting weight and…

Hey all, just wanted to join in welcoming new members to our group! If you plan to STICK TO IT this time around, no matter what, then you'll fit right in 😊 We have members with a lot to lose (100+) all the way to members trying to stay within 5 lbs of goal weight, members young & old, members who have lost and gained (and…

I had not heard of this eating plan until you mentioned it, thanks for that! There are some very tenacious souls that somehow hang onto their goal weight in maintenance by grit and determination, eating low calorie (like 1000-1200) and keeping up their activity. I cannot see that being my successful reality. The role of…

@Pdc654- wow, that sucks! I (vaccinated & boosted) got Covid in October and a killer sore throat was my main complaint. And then lack of energy persisted for several weeks. 😴 napping was my new normal for a while. I think we'll all get it eventually, and maybe more than once, if it has indeed become endemic. But hopefully…

@newmeby70 - love your Username! 👍 Welcome to our little corner of MFP 💜

@Yoolypr, thank you for posting this! Immediately I hear the man's voice in my head, reading it aloud, from when Desiderata was charting on the radio (strange to think of that now). And the chorus keeps repeating in my mind: "You are a child of the universe No less than the trees and the birds You have a right to be here.…

I love (not that anyone was asking lol) all sorts of black teas, like Vanilla Earl Grey, double chai, Tetley bold, Lady Grey. There was one that had a funny name, 'Constant Comment' I believe that was an orange spice and made by Bigelow, but haven't seen it anywhere for a few years. If anyone knows who sells that in…
