I am 5 days into vacation, seem to be up 1 lb, which if true - I'll take it! I have been endeavouring to eat at maintenance. 5 more days to go! I did Atkins/keto my last serious attempt at weightloss before this one, and it worked pretty good - lost 50 lbs over 10 months or so - but my weightloss slowed eventually (per…

I am so sorry to hear this - so frustrating and then to be ignored grrr 🙁 Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the apps? And then pairing again? My only suggestion as I have a Fitbit and it is syncing ok. But I did have to do that at one time.

My goodness, sounds like you are off to a great start!👍🏻 I started Mounjaro 5 weeks ago, and will move from 2.5 to 5 dose after 6 weeks. My endocrinologist said I may well need to go up to the higher doses, like 15, but since that is still in short supply, he suggested going another 6 weeks at 5, then reassess. So far I am…

Hi Chris, last post I saw by @mrrick was end of May, and he was 3 lbs from his goal weight!

I am lakeside alright - in Osoyoos, air is clear. There was some rain yesterday which no doubt helped. Temperature set to rise every day this week and clouds to disappear, per forecast. We are in a motel with A/C, this photo is from our balcony - living the life!

What do you all think of this picture? I like it and am using it to help with visualization, but apparently it was controversial when it came out...

Hi @Arrivingby226, there is a fairly active thread you may want to post to: Introduce yourself>60 years and up It is kind of quiet right now, but waxes and wanes and never completely dies out. Someone would definitely chime in! I am retired, so most of my stress went away when I quit work - took my 4-5 months to destress…

Awww, looks like Oliver is living his best life! He is so pretty. 😍 Good for you Margaret persevering with all your struggles. 👏 Puts me to shame, tbh. Have you been out in your new bathingsuit yet? That's a true nonscale victory. Keep on keeping on folks!

I am off on vacation for 10 days, going a few hours away by car to a lake. With wifi lol. So I will be around. Looking forward to hearing about Laurie's adventures!
-
Good wishes to your daughter and new hubby! Smart move - enjoy being home!

I use them for entertainment, to game myself into a better lifestyle, to measure success (or at least improvement) beyond the scale. But I am retired 😆

It is frightening, one of 2 wildfires coming for the town covered 5km (3 miles) in less than 30 minutes and was a 3-400 feet tall wall of flames (higher than the trees) when it reached the outskirts... this is a small tourist town with only 5000 year round residents. Everyone had to retreat including firefighters.…

WOOHOO!!! Well done 👏 👏 👏

Congrats on breaking your plateau!

Hey, did you try looking under My Bookmarks? At least it is a shorter list to search through! If no one posts for a couple of days, it's easy for our thread to get buried. I had been having a very 'on point' week, but the scale was not budging - until it did! Hurrah, I am definitely down over 1 lbs. Today (Saturday) I was…

Hi, unfortunately @Sparkle1098 started this discussion then abandoned it - only this one post since 2022... And has not signed into MFP since July 5th. It's too bad.
-
We will be happy to do that! Just post here regularly and join us! 😊 All are at different parts of the journey, but I don't think any joining in here are ever 'true' beginners lol, we have all been at this rodeo before, just not on MFP perhaps. 😆 I had to google Stage 3 CKD and I am sorry to hear you are dealing with this.…

A chunk have gone to MyNetDiary too.

@elithea175, glad you got it all working! I am medium techie, but don't have all the gadgets you have lol. My only thought was sometimes tablets have issues where phones don't, and vice versa, so linking apps with different devices sometimes helps. And I've noticed some apps, like MFP, are hard to 'force' an update.…

Hello all, my daughter came over after church and we went to de Dutch Pannekoek (very thin large pancakes) for brunch and I had a savoury one made with onion, deBakon, tomatoes and Dutch cheese (Edam I think). You can have them made sweet or savoury - so good! I had plotted what to have yesterday and planned my diary for…

@elithea175, so strange that scale updated MFP via Fitbit, but not Fitbit itself! I always record my weight here on MFP manually, and it then updates on Fitbit, but not using a smart scale.

Hello @clayton510 -'not sure how you got past the doorman, but since you're here...make yourself at home 😘, you can be the young'un! Welcome @58marianoz, you have done very well, brava.
-
@Evamutt, love my Fitbit! The app is free, but similar to MFP there is a premium membership also available, which I do not feel the need for.
-
Stole this from another thread: Love it!

I hear you, joined MFP summer 2021, lost very near 50 by summer 2022, stalled out, gained 10ish over the next year to summer 2023, then a further 6-7 by Xmas 2023 and started the New Year just under 20 up from my 2022 low - but I feel very proud to have not gained it all back, and to have kept looking at ways to improve my…

Hello - I tried several chocolate protein drink types and found Premier to be kind of chemical tasting. I recommend Ensure high protein chocolate (must watch out & not get the similarly named/packaged meal replacement one!!) - tastes good! Same 160 cal/ but only 16g protein/235 ml. Like Premier it does not need to be…

Hi and welcome @elithea175! Your posts are coming through loud and clear 😃 There is a bookmark symbol at the top of each thread page which you can click on (it will turn solid blue, looks like the tail end of a forked ribbon) and will make it easier to find us again. I use Fitbit to track steps and exercise (and sleep!),…

I've had a very interesting and informative couple of days, medical-wise myself. ☺️ Turns out the residual mild numbness on the outside of my lower left leg/foot, that has persisted for months, is the result of a pinched nerve, and I did NOT have Bursitis last August, I had aggravated this pinched nerve at the very base of…

@MargaretYakoda, that is wonderful that Onederland is back in your sights! Very motivational and encouraging I'm sure - heck it motivated and encouraged me 😉!

@Betty @Nova This is a good point.
